Hammer looked heavily used!

I understand this is a hammer and will eventually have knicks and scratches, however this hammer was supposed to be brand new for a Christmas gift. Because it came with a mini pry bar and was poorly wrapped the entire hammer is covered in scratches and looks like it has been heavily used. So much for a Christmas gift- so disappointed!
