The solution for sensitive skin that's allergic to every other anti-perspirant I've tried
All of a sudden about two years ago I started turning up allergic to every anti-perspirant I tried, starting with the one I'd used for years without issue. I finally landed on Lume' for the deodorant and that actually worked best for me, but could not use their anti-perspirant products, just their deodorant, and constantly had wet pits that would still start smelling towards the end of the day. After speaking to a dermatologist, she recommended this Vanicream Anti-Perspirant Deodorant for Sensitive Skin. I checked several stores before finding it on Amazon. The first time I used it, it did burn a little and cause a small rash. I think my skin was still agitated from the last shave. It was a little dry/rough going on the first time, but now that first layer is off the product, it does go on smoothly without pulling at the skin. It's been almost a week, and I've had dry underarms no matter what I'm wearing since after the first application (which was in the morning). Use it at night after washing, and it works perfect! I did also change my shave cream to something more high quality, started moisturizing the skin there, and changed my razor to a brand new one geared toward sensitive skin and all that together seems to have solved my two year problem. No breakthrough sweat, no breakthrough smell. I feel like a normal person again and can stop avoiding other people for fear my deodorant has stopped working. So far, no rash, no burning, no itching either. I think... hopefully... this is finally the product that's going to work long term for me. I'm so glad the dermatologist recommended it!

Works great and truly SCENT FREE!
I’ve been looking for a fragrance free deodorant as I cannot tolerate fragrances at ALL! I’ve smelled the ones in store that say they are fragrance free but they smell horrid and of chemicals. I did some research online and people suggested this one. I ordered it and WOW! It’s truly scent free! I can sniff it up to my nose and nothing at all! I have been wearing it for a week now and it’s great with keeping sweat at bay just like normal deodorant. I will say for the size it’s a bit small but worth it if you have sensitive skin or need scent free.

My favorite deodorant
I order 5 of these at a time because I love it so much and I can’t find it in any stores. The skin on my underarms is very sensitive, and this deodorant is one of the best I’ve tried in terms of working well and not causing any issues. It takes care of odor, too in my opinion and is a great fragrance free option.

Skin is happy!
Dries quickly, lasts long. No rashes and notice way less discoloration when I use this regularly vs drugstore antiperspirant. No discomfort or slickness after application. Good at antiperspirant but does not stand up to stinky. I pair it with a non-antiperspirant deodorant scent I like and that works better for my sensitive skin than a scented antiperspirant.

The best of the hypoallergenic A/Ds but messy
I have been on the hunt for a quality hypoallergenic antiperspirant/deodorant for several years now since developing allergic contact dermatitis to many common ingredients. What I have learned is that there is no product that checks all the boxes: allergen-free, sweat reducing, odor blocking, non-marking/non-messy, affordable. With that said, the Vanicream stick checks 3 of the 5 boxes, which is the most out of any I’ve tried thus far. It’s hypoallergenic and is the best at sweat AND odor blocking out of all the “safe for me” deodorants I have tried. Most other products are only good at sweat OR odor control, and I live in the desert where both are definitely necessary. On the flip side, the product does pill up quite a bit after minor sweating to the point where I would feel self conscious about it if going out in a tank top. Also, at $10 a stick, while cheaper than some of the others, it’s still not a great price point. I will continue to try new products, but this will probably be my new main at least until the temps fall below 100 and I can get away with using something less effective but cleaner. For anyone else out there struggling to find a good product, here are mini-reviews of the other products I have tried: -Native Lavender & Rose Paraben-Free Aluminum-Free Deodorant (2/5 stars): Cons: I didn't smell like BO but I didn't smell like lavender and roses either. Aluminum-free so there was no sweat control. Expensive. Pros: didn't make a mess, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok) -Dry Idea AdvancedDry Unscented Antiperspirant & Deodorant Clear Gel (0/5 stars) : Cons: I still got pretty sweaty with this one, not a big fan of the gel. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor-blocking. 0 out of 5 stars because they abruptly changed the formula to include fragrance yet still mark it as "hypoallergenic/unscented," which is shady AF. Always check the label every time you buy, even if it's a product you've used before! -Acure Lavender & Coconut Deodorant (3/5 stars): Cons: basically the same as Native - no sweat control, slightly better odor control, but a little messier. Pros: cheaper than Native, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok) -Each & Every Natural Aluminum-Free Deodorant, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: No sweat control, expensive. Pros: Actually has pretty decent odor control without added scents, goes on clean, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter. -Speed Stick Antiperspirant & Deodorant Solid, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: I was surprised at how sweaty I got with this antiperspirant. Have to reapply at least once during the day. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor control, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter. -Almay Sensitive Skin Clear Gel Antiperspirant & Deodorant, Fragrance-Free (0/5 stars): This product made such a sticky mess of my underarms that I couldn't leave it on long enough to evaluate its effectiveness.

In my MUST HAVE’s. Took 5+ years to find one that works!
I’m allergic to many things and get painful cysts in my armpits that get infected and when lanced, hold a shocking amount of green or brown guck. It’s painful AF and so, not out of wanting to avoid aluminum, I just stopped using antiperspirants. This cut down the cysts (the size of my thumb under my skin in my armpit). So I began my “natural deodorant” journey. zOMG I have bought over 30 deodorants. Anything with grass or tree based eases risk oils or even Baking soda broke me out in a bloody rash that would take weeks to heal. Weeks of zero deodorant and hebacleanse followed by cetephil facial wash and no clothes that were not sift cotton or silk. It has been a hellish struggle. The few times I thought I found something that worked, after 4-6 weeks, I would start getting very red which was my cue to go back to cetaphil facial wash on my armpits and no deodorant. After many years I had an ok, but not great rotation. Kopari unscented coconut deodorant (the essential oils in the scented ones give me a bloody rash) when I was too sensitive for anything else, but it had to be reapplied 3-4x a day and if I was exercising or anxious, that meant showers too. So then sometimes, if I didn’t kind a white film on my clothes, I would use MagnoSol in Rose. Still is viscous as heck so use a thin amount and spread with facial massage stone. That stuff will kill the worst stench abd can be reapplied if you break through and make you smell great again. The minus, it is hard as heck to get off. I would use Dr. Bronners Peppermint soap l, followed by Cetaphil facial wash. After about 10 days I would get irritated skin again, I’m sure from the harsh soap I had to result to, to wash it off. Then I found Freedom Deodurant in CocoVan and that worked better than Kopari on smell, but still needed applied 2x a day and once you broke through, no reapplication would stop the stank. At day 10 I got irritation too. Piffle. Then I say this Dermatologist on YouTube called Dr. Dray. She suggested this and I checked with my actual dermatologist and got the green light. So glad I did. Now I will tell you at first I slathered this on abd it pulled up like crazy and didn’t seem to work well, my pits were wet all day, though no white residue on clothes. Next I wasted abd was shocked that it came off with my cetaphil sensitive skin bar soap. That soap is light weight and could not cut through any other deodorant but Kopari. So, pleasant suprize. Then I thought, just how little can I apply and have it work and that was the trick. I turn the bottom wheel that pushes up the irifuct until you just start to think you see product. It’s clear, so, before you see a full drop form on top. (When I flipped over the deodorant with the cap on and marked it in half’s until there were 8 marks, it seems to take about 1/8th turn to sometimes not quite a 1/4 turn to get the perfect amount of product.) it is not much at all! That thrilled me for the value. If your armpits are damp, there is no way you will feel if you are putting product on. So I blot just armpits and do the 1/8 to just under 1/4 turn, look to see if there is pricier there and then apply it smoothly. Making sure it covers my entire armpit area. Then by the time I finish moisturizing and spf’ing my face, my armpits are dry. I have never had to reapply (though I have not jogged on summer heat yet) I have been using this daily for over a month and ZERO irritation!!! Zero. No red, no bloody rash or lumps that will be so painful I can’t live my arm due weeks... just, smooth, calm, happy, no stank skin. I feel so great about this product that I bought the anti perspiration version to try for when I wear my dry Jean only silk ball gown after the pandemic is not as big an issue. So save yourself 5+ years and 20+ Products at over $5.00 each and just buy this. It may take a few tries to master the application, but you will adore it once you do!

Best Deodorant Ever
I have contact dermatitis that flares up whenever and wherever and recently I have been getting bad rashes under my arm. I would use the ordinary toner as a deodorant but after getting this rash I wasn’t able to so I switched back to clinical strength deodorant because the heat in NY recently is bad. I used degree and secret clinical strength and the burning of it was horrible. Did some research and chat gpt recommended this to me which I was skeptical at first because it has no scent but it works so well. Since using it my rash is slowly going away, it does in fact help with odor and does not burn going on at all. Would definitely be getting the rest of my life, please never stop carrying this!!! The only con I can think of is at the end of the day when trying to bathe it leaves a weird film under my arm which is hard to take off with regular rag and soap. I need to use facial product and a silicone face scrub to scrub the day’s deodorant off to then reapply a fresh new coat before bed.

Great for sensative skin. Do not like the gel
I actually really like Vanicream deodorant for my sensitive skin. It scent free, doesn’t irritate or make my skin itch. It lasts a really long time, but I just have to give it a 4 star because it’s gel. I reordered the deodorant from my previous orders without realizing they changed the formula. That’s on me, but I applied the gel and really don’t like how it feels on my skin. It feels wet, and cold and just doesn’t give it that good application feeling. I don’t think it’s as good as their regular block one.
