Classic Single Wall Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Leak Proof Loop Cap

After having used several different types of stainless steel bottles, I have found the one for me! The first I tried was a Coleman model that had a flip up straw. The straw was plastic which is a bit self defeating because the whole purpose of buying a stainless steel water bottle was to avoid plastic. This was just the first one I had ever seen and I figured the plastic in the straw was better than an entire bottle of plastic. It worked well, but was difficult to clean, dented, and had plastic. The second I tried was an inexpensive model bought off here that looks similar to this one but didn't come in any colors. It functions and cleans as easily as this but the problem was that it acquired a smell after a week or two of use, and I haven't been able to get rid of it after a year. I have tried soaking it and scrubbing it and anything else I can think of. The smell would not dissipate. This one also dented. I purchased the Kleen Kanteen, which is fairly mainstream now several years after my original stainless steel bottle purchase. I chose the pink color and love it! The color is vibrant as pictured. The bottle functions very well. I love that you can upgrade the top to a water bottle style or a steel cap of the same shape that originally comes with it. Very smart. They also make baby bottles, toddler sip cups, and kid versions which are perfect for our family! A caveat about stainless steel bottles: they dent. This is just the downside of the bottles. The denting rarely creates a problem with the functionality of the bottle. It is just the price to pay for not having plastic with possibly harmful chemicals, or glass that can shatter. A small price to me.

It's durable, looks great, is easy to clean, doesn't impart flavors and best of all doesn't get that weird plastic smell/taste after a while. If you are planning on putting hot or cold drinks in this bottle I would recommend getting one of the insulated models. With cold drinks this bottle sweats really badly and with hot drinks it can become hot enough to burn you. The insulated model: Klean Kanteen Winter Lake Classic Vacuum Insulated Storage with Loop Cap, 20-Ounce on the other hand doesn't sweat at all and the outside of the bottle doesn't change in temperature. The insulated models can keep iced drinks cold for a little over 24 hours and drinks hot for about 12. This particular bottle doesn't keep drinks their intended temperature for very long at all. I also have a slight issue with the cap being hard to take off some times because it gets so tight, but it is leak proof so I think it's worth it. This bottle is great for keeping water with you on the go though. I would recommend this bottle to anyone who is looking for a great everyday water bottle. I like this bottle much more then my previous bottle: Nalgene BPA Free Tritan Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 1-Quart, Slate Blue .

I was on the market for a large water bottle. I wanted it to be at least 40 fl. oz and in a stainless steel bottle. After doing a lot of research and looking at the reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy this bottle in particular. Some of the cons: - LARGE, holds TONS of water! I love that! - Stainless steel, nice and sturdy. - Easy to clean - Doesn't have a strong metal taste or anything offensive (HOWEVER, if you do wipe the bottle down with a smelly moldy dish rage, best believe it will smell like that until you wash the bottle) - Nice opening to drink out of. Not super big. Doesn't splash a lot - Has many color options - Can replace the drinking top - Doesn't leak Cons: - I got the Channel Island color bottle (teal) and I already see a bit of chipping at the bottom of the bottle from usage. I personality don't mind. I already know that the paint will chip off with wear but I like to know that my bottle is in great use so I don't really care for it. IF you don't want to deal with the paint chipping, just get the stainless steel bottle. You'll get scratches, but it won't be as obvious as the paint wear. I totally recommend this bottle. I love it so much! I see myself using this for years to come!

And I have owned plenty. I heard plenty of good things about this brand, and I decided to purchase this after my last camelbak bottle finally crapped out on me. I was actually thankful when the leaky POS finally decided to break, it gave me an excuse to look for something different and this fit the bill perfectly. I was little leary about the metal single wall type, and I have yet to use this bottle in really hot weather, so my opinion might change. Regardless, I have had this bottle for about a month, and so far it fits the bill perfectly, and I think the idea of simpler being better struck gold here. Two parts (technically three if you include the O ring) and a damn near indestructible body. I have no complaints at all about the size, the construction, the aesthetics (if you care about that in a water bottle), and I have a feeling that if I needed to boil water in this thing in an emergency type situation, I think it would work just fine, and probably even thrive under the pressure. Suffice it to say I am very happy and will probably buy some of their other products if I can manage to get off my lazy butt and do it.

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf die 1 L große Flasche in blau mit Plastikdrehverschluss. Die Vorteile: - Die Flasche selbst ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet - Die Lackierung ist sauber aufgebracht und sieht gut aus, bleibt abzuwarten wie langlebig / widerstandsfähig die Farbe sein wird. - Ich konnte keinen Metallgeschmack feststellen (Dies war bei meiner alten Flasche von Klean Kanteen anders, vermute die neuen Modelle haben diesen "Makel" nicht mehr) - Getränke bleiben schön kühl, auch ohne das sie vorher im Kühlschrank stehen mussten. - Der Plastikverschluss lässt sich richtig fest drehen, die Flasche ist dann wirklich dicht (trotzdem wird zur Sicherheit davon abgeraten die Flasche in Taschen zu tragen, ich verstehe den Hinweis nur so, dass die Flasche nicht hin und her fleigen soll, aber selbst dass habe ich schon "getestet" und dabei keinen Flüssigkeitsaustritt gemerkt. DIe Nachteile: Eigentlich fällt mir keiner direkt auf, ich finde es schade das der Deckel nicht aus Metal ist, aber das weiß man ja vorher, Man kann zwar die unterschiedlichen Deckel nachbestellen, aber diese sind im Verhältnis zum Flaschen Preis fast zu teuer. was ich nicht wirklich nachvollziehen kann. Neutral: Man darf auch die Lakierten / Bemalten Flaschen in die Spühlmaschine stecken, davon wird aber in dem Beipackzettel abgeraten, das ist aber bekannt, der Verkäufer hat schlißelich bei der Produktbeschreibung darauf hingewiesen. Die Flasche ist in der 1L Variante doch sehr wuchtig, ich dachte sie ist ähnlich schmall wie die kleineren, dafür dann höher. Dies sollte man bedenken, so passt sie evtl. nicht mehr in jede Halterung rein. Alles in allem eine Super Trinkflasche zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen und jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

This is my new favorite water bottle. I was always a nalgene fan but found that they usually retain the taste of previous liquids. The Klean Kanteen eliminates this by being a food grade stainless steel product thus cleans very easily. These bottles are equal parts "a way of life/incredible quality". This bottle features a large capacity of 40oz which is the perfect size bottle to take with you on a hike or to the office for the day. Its has a nice and large opening that is comfortable to drink out of and also allows for adding ice cubes. The top is made out of a BPA free plastic which secures nice and tight to the bottle. I have had no issues with leaks ever. I really dig the black finish. Its almost like a matte black but with a tiny bit of character. It shows grease really bad though if you handling anything oily but easily wipes clean. Because it is not insulated the bottle can get pretty chilly on the hands and does show some perspiration when you have really cold liquids in it. I don't really mind that though. Overall this bottle is wicked and I am glad I purchased it.

Exactamente lo que necesitaba. Lo suficientemente pequeña como para poder rellenarla en los grifos de mi facultad y lo suficientemente grande como para no tener que hacerlo cada 20 mins. Imparte sabor, muy leve nada mas estrenarla, pero si le hechas agua hirviendo y la aclaras bien se le va, ademas asi te aseguras de que no tenga nada. Despues de eso no imparte sabor nunca, es muy resistente, el tapon sella perfectamente. Muy contenta con esto.

Nach dem Growler hab ich mir nun noch diese Trinkflasche gegönnt. Habe mir noch den passenden Holzdeckel dazu gekauft. Fertig ist die tollste Trinkflasche meines Bergsteigerlebens!
