Step1: First you need to put the desired amount of freshly ground coffee in the Portafilter basket.

Step2: Retract the distributor side to its depth, place the distributor on portafilter, blade side down.

Step3: Spin the distributor gently until coffee is evenly distributed and leveled. Note: You do not need to apply heavy pressure just flatten the coffee in the Portafilter basket.

Step4: Flip the distributor over and extend the flat side to its maximum height.
