Very normal I was expecting another test

While this Geisha coffee bean has some positive qualities, overall I cannot recommend it.The roast is even and nicely medium, without being overly burnt or bitter.However, I was disappointed to find that there was no roasted date provided, and the lack of freshness was noticeable. The coffee didn't have the expected fruity and juicy flavor of a Geisha bean, and didn't come close to meeting that standard.While I have experience with different coffee flavors, the listed flavor notes simply didn't come through. This coffee seems more like a regular Arabica with a slightly less burnt taste. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product and suggest you look elsewhere for SOE coffee beans, rather than purchasing from Amazon.

Currently I’ve been drinking my go to favorite Arabica coffee in Medium/Medium Dark roast from various producers ranging in price $15-$25 per lb. Lately tho’ I’ve been reading about which coffee beans are the best in the world. Geisha from Panama, originally from Ethiopia, has been judged by pros to be the best. Knowing that, but before dropping $80 per 1/2lb to try, I was excited to just try this variety from Brazil. (btw Brazil judged to NOT produce great coffees) So I took a chance and not knowing what to expect, this is my opinion: (espresso) the initial taste was rather light & very bitter, but did have very floral notes. Definitely NOT what I was expecting! Maybe I don’t appreciate “great” coffee or this producer’s variety is way inferior at best, I don’t know. But given the opportunity, I’d still like to try a “great” Geisha and then make up my mind then…

Excellent cofee. Low acidity.

I tried many brands of Geisha before. This one has the best value for the price. It have very strong fruity flavor and berry aroma. I only wish that I have a way to order right after it is roasted. I will buy it again.
