Pure Protein--High Protein Bar Chocolate Peanut Caramel--Protein Bars--20 Grams of Protein per Bar--Gluten Free--6-1.76-Ounce Bars

In the last 2 1/2 - 3 years this product has been reduced to 1/4 of it's overall size since I started buying them on a regular basis. Also the taste has been changed so much over the past 2 1/2 years for my favorite flavor the Chocolate Salted Carmel Pure Protein Bar that it's now greatly reduced the great taste it once had. Pure Protein still has the 19 -20 gram of protein per bar with it being carbs free but in the last few years they kept changing the recipe and reducing the bar size to the point they have destroyed which was once a fantastic high protein bar product. I am so disappointed. Now it's like a little candy bar tasting of lots of artificial additives. And, this new and so called improved bar does not have the energy pick me up like they use to with this scaled down mini sized bar. One used to do the job and now it takes two to fill me up as a meal replacement. Plus I'm not sure how they still can give the same protein content when the bar is now at 1/4 of the size it was a few years ago.

This is my 3 or 4th box I ordered from Pure Protein and they're always good! This is absolutely the BEST flavor. I would recommend the Chocolate Peanut Caramel for the high protein count and deliciousness. Sometimes it's too good and you may be compelled to have just "one more" lol. I've tried other brands and nothing tastes close to actual non-protein bars as these bars do. I hope this review helps :)

This is a great brand of protein bar if you are looking for something high in protein, low in sugar and relatively low in calories. It's probably the best balance of high protein and reasonable price (Quest bars are great, too, but they are twice the price). Chocolate peanut butter caramel is my favorite flavor, it's so yummy you will feel like you are eating a candy bar. I have to keep them away from my small children, who are convinced mommy is eating chocolate (sugar alcohols will cause tummy troubles in small kids so we do not let them eat these). You can find these for a much better price at Costco and Target depending on sales (less than $1 each), tho, so keep that in mind when buying.

Ok, I've been eating Pure Protein bars for almost two years now for quick energy at work. I've eaten literally all the flavors. THIS by FAR is the best flavor. It is also the best texture. Its soft and has the texture of a milky way bar, and the peanut butter inside just takes the flavor to the max.

I had been searching for a good-quality after snack that fit with my nutritional needs: high protein, balanced carbs, acceptable calories, not much sugar, good flavor. These looked promising, so I bought a package.The price wasn't bad either and it was chocolate and caramel. Hard to mess up, right? Wrong. The first bite was a delight --- gooey caramel and chocolate! The second bite and I noticed a strong, bitter after-taste. Kind of "chemically." I rechecked the label. Nothing looked odd ---- stevia-sweetened tends to get bitter, and sucralose does the same. Sugar alcohol, like matitol or xylitol doesn't but I know not to overdo it. Tried to ignore it. But, the second bar a few days later yielded the same bitter after-burn. OK, not imagining this. I gavr one to a friend, who said the same thing. Conclusion: double-thumbs down on this one. Don't bother. There are other good bars out there, so don't be lured by the price...... and the chocolate and gooey caramel.

I have low blood sugar and need protein if it drops. I keep these in my purse. They taste fantastic and have enough protein to ease my blood sugar drop. Its a double win. I enjoy every bite and its helping my health.

Great value for the money and they were fresh. I love the taste and the protein is very high. Looking for a protein bar with this high amount of protein and having a great taste is hard. Great purchase.

These bars are so good and full of flavor! I almost feel like I'm eating a candy bar!I usually have 1 mid afternoon for as a healthy snack between lunch and dinner.
