So, I added an extension cable and new antenna that is about 12 inches tall, I built a mounting bracket and added it to the top of the post where the control box is mounted. Now my remote works from inside my house (pointing out the window), which is about 300 feet from the gate. These are the 2 items I bought, about $15 total from Amazon: - WiFi Antenna Extension Cable SMA Male to SMA Female RF Connector Adapter RG316 2M - TECHTOO 9dBi WiFi Antenna with SMA Male (SMA-Plug) Connector Compatible W/Anran Haloview IP Camera & Other Wireless Security Camera Antenna - 2.4Ghz Wireless Networking Device (SMA-Plug 1Pack) **Q: I was told to buy two mm371w for my 2-panel gate. can the two remotes be synced so they work as one?** A: The gate panel learns the remote. I don’t see why 2 panels won’t learn one remote. Good luck. I am pleased with the new changes upgrades to the system. **Q: Does this detect incoming objects?** A: No **Q: On the mm 371 does any one know how far the battery can be located away from the controll box also unit is solar charged.** A: The wiring harness on the control to the battery is about 2 feet. This would be as far as you could place the battery from the control box. You can purchase a separate solar charger to connect to the gate opener, model FM123. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great improvement over FM350 *by on Reviewed in the United States 21 January 2024* I finally had to replace my 9 year old FM350. This new one, MM371W, is awesome. The control board is no longer within the cylinder unit itself, makes programming so much easier. I had an issue at the very end of the install while I was setting the closed position limit. It closed, then wouldn’t respond to any of the control board buttons or the remote. I was at a loss. I called the dreaded technical support. I was on hold for like 3 minutes! AND it was a Saturday, the worst day to call any tech support. The support was amazing. He had me walk back down to the gate, he had me clear the settings and walked me through the closed limit procedure. So once you’re done setting the limit, you have to hold down the return button until you hear a beep, this locks in the settings. This last step is what I missed, it was waiting on me to hold down that enter button. The gate speed is at least twice as fast as the old model FM350. But it slows down when it gets close to the full open or closed position so the gate doesn’t slam open or closed. All my old remotes where also easy to program to the new gate. Hopefully I’ll get 9 years out of this one as well! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Updated replacement for model 350. *by on Reviewed in Canada 2 September 2023* Had a 350 that worked well for a number of years but started becoming unreliable and I wasn't able to successfully troubleshoot it. The 371 was a drop in fit but needed to mount the separate control box.
