It's a quality lock cylinder. I've noticed some reviewers say they had to file off the flange. This is not necessary if you have a suitable Allen key (Hex key). You need to remove the thumb turn first, with a small Allen key, and refit the switch after the internal handle is in place. I like it. 5 keys is a good number of keys too.

The lock was fine at first, but last night when my wife came home from work, I spend 2hrs forcing the door and lock to open at 2:30amFor a 3 star lock this is not a good quality lock

Nice specification for theprice. Works well, but I needed to buy a small Allen key to fit it.

Bought 2 of these in 2025, one in January one in June. The older of the two - on the main door to the house - has now started to stick when trying to unlock from the inside. I'd expect far better longevity from a 3* lock.Going to buy an Ironworx 3* to replace - we'll see if double the money is worth it! At least it won't have the annoying flange to work around when installing...21Aug2025 - Ironworx replacement received, far easier to fit - as expected!

I dont have old doors in my home but when I tried replace my current lock in kitchen door with this new one I found one major issue-the sticking our ring around this cylinder locker. This was on the way from sliding the lock through the door hole. The hole is fitted exactly to the size of standard locker so any bigger locker will not fit. I know that this ring is an additional safety feature to this locker but to be able to fit this locker into one of my doors I had to use bench grinder tool and remove this ring. Now, when the cylinder locker is all same size, I can easily slide it into the door hole and secure by the long screw provided. Lock sits firmly inside the door and only this way I could fit it in. All door holes in my home are standard size and this locker didnt fit as it comes, only after grinding the extra ring around it.Locker is strong and works well. It comes with 5 keys to share with family members. I like the fact that we can lock the door from inside without using the key and when I come back from work I dont need to worry if someone left the key inside the door. I really like this locker.

I have this UAP Thumb Turn Euro Cylinder Lock - 3* Kitemarked Euro Lock Cylinder - Door Barrel Lock with 5 keys suitable for all doors in brass in size 70mm 35/35.The lock seems well made from a decent quality materials, sturdy and durable.It was an easy and quick swap with our existing lock as the size was correct for our doors.This lock is anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill and has 6 pins and many different combinations, so definitely improved safety of our property.I like that it came with 5 keys, so I don't have to cut more.Easy to open/close, works well.I like that from inside I have the knob to lock the door, so I don't have to look for the key all the time, it is very convenient for me.The lock seems pricey but taking into account the safety features, quality and that 5 keys are included in the set I think that the price is very reasonable.
