Exceeded expectations. In terms of build quality it is very nicely made with generous sized metal dials and a high quality finish to all the parts. There is no lateral movement in the bearings, which have a nice resistant feel to them. When locked down it is absolutely solid. Tested with a 600mm lens and DSLR although I suspect it will easily handle even heavier setups. Although there are plenty of cut-outs to reduce weight it is still quite hefty. Small bubble spirit level built into the base which I hadn't noticed before buying, nice touch. Feels and looks high end, no hesitation recommending.

Great value for money, appears strong and well made, very impressive. Have found only a very slight balancing issue, and after getting a longer Arcaswiss mounting plate it is very slightly not returning to perfect level. But this tiny fault doesn’t detract from the massive benefits I’m getting from it. Can be used in portrait mode on my D500- 200/500 by turning the camera with in its tripod collar as normal. Have recommended many times to friends and fellow photographers.

VERY GOOD BUT VERY POOR INSTRUCTIONS I nearly threw this out of the window as I got so frustrated trying to put it together. Once it was together it seems excellent but I have not used it is the field yet. The part the the plate /or lens sits on is arca swiss but but ti didn't fir. I spent forever trying to. Then I thought I wonder if this slides down from the very top, where the circle is. YES! It it gives it just enough eeway to slide down and then all is hunky dory. You tighten it in the position you want. You then either use the plate it comes with or attache your large lens directly to it if you lens has an Arca Swiss foot. It works just as it should once set up. I am disabled which is why I bought it and it is going to make shooting much easier for me. This is not the only company that gives poor instructions and writing that is sso mall one needs a microscope! I keep a special pair of 3.50 ready readers to read instructions on all sorts of things. I recommend this gimbal but be prepared for frustration! I hope I managed to explain well enough how you fit the two bits together.

It works well even with a large lens

Have been considering one of these for a while, to match with new Canon zoom lens on my DSLR. this is absolute perfect... Using it on a Manfrotto 190XPPROB tripod and it's perfect. Nicely weighted, well made. Recommended

It is very solid, well constructed and does what a gimbal is supposed to do. It does not come with an Alan key which you will need for the cradle stopper. Maybe Neewer should supply this, not everyone will own an Alan key.
