I actually use it to brew tea too but it's a treat for ground coffee. I highly recommend it but the only issue I have is that some of the granules have been getting into the base and I can't work out how that has been happening. It has never happened with loose leaf tea so perhaps it's the filter paper rather than the design of the vessel.
