Titan - 1/4 Dr Beam Type Torque Wrench (23140) Review: Bought it to measure pre-load on a diff pinion, which has to fall within a very low and narrow window. Did the job well. One has to trust that it is reasonably accurate of course - I hope so! Review: Bought this for bicycle repair usage. The build is very high quality for this almost generic Q wrench. I have the same wrench from another company with crappy build where the index does not line up to zero. This will give an accurate torque even after tons of abuse. There is nothing to break and the pointer can always be bent back into place. The click type are delicate and require following a procedure to set the torque. Click type torque wrenches are only good on production lines where the setup time is paid back over repeated use. They also require periodic calibration.

There are pluses and minuses in choosing this type of torque wrench over the spring loaded type. But in the case of small amounts of torque being applied this is better in my opinion. It is only designed to be used for small torque values. These are very hard to measure for the clicker type torque wrenches and the click may not even be audible. This is useful for that need. You just watch the needle and the dial and when it gets to your amount your done. Do not try to use this for any measurement over its range. It will break it . You can just bend the pointer back to " 0 " if its not zeroed. It won't hurt anything. The pointer moves as pressure is put on the socket connector and it begins to bend the longer tubular bar beneath the pointer. This moves the pointer bar also.

I was looking for such a torque wrench in the UK for quite a long time, but no one uses such tools here. The shipment came from the USA via Amazon. I was finally able to renovate the rear differential

Perfectly zeroes before and after use. Nice compact size with durable materials. Smaller than I expected but perfect for my use, torquing screws up to 15 inch pounds. I prefer this one to those costing double or triple the price. I almost didn't buy it but now that I have it, I'm glad I got it.
