MUST TRY! ABSOLUTELY WORKS!
After a bunch of other pesticide based products I finally gave up and tried this for my husky-shepherd mix, based on reviews. When it arrived it was like a bottle of water and I was very skeptical. However, after one use things were markedly better and after the second use there were no more issues of head shaking, scratching etc. I put in a third (every other day) dose, and now her ear looks totally normal. 100% RECOMMEND!!!

It's NOT always ear mites!
My adopted dog appeared to have a bad ear mite infection. Shaking the head, scratching the ears, brown "stuff" in the ears. We are always being told that it looks like coffee grounds, when it is the excrement of ear mites. Well I noticed that every ear mite product's comments has someone complaining that their pet is still suffering. This is the third product I used, the first two being different strengths of insecticide ear drops for dogs. The ears were looking cleaner, but never without some bit of brownish smear and the itching continued, even though it improved. Then I started thinking about how many people are upset that a product isn't working. I tried to find an actual mite in the brown stuff with bright light and just didn't see anything so I tried this product that is supposed to help with mites, but is a good general ear cleaner without a strong insecticide. So, I'm thinking it was a yeast problem, and that many of the people with what seems to be pets with intractable ear mites, might have a dog with ear yeast infections. After about three or four uses of this product the ears looked so much cleaner, the ears smell better (yes, I used smell to determine how bad the ears are inside.) I just made sure to do a lot of massage of the outer ear with a bunch of the cleaner in there, I even would turn my dog's nose up and around to try to get the stuff to make it past the sharp turn of the canine ear canal. Success! My dog's ears are very clean and this product isn't so strong that it gives my fairly big dog the runs like the stronger insecticide did. I intend to use this product every now and then, and if I smell something off in the ears or see a new accumulation of brown stuff ( which I think is ear wax, blood from scratching, and yeast.)

My dog seemed to be allergic to this
I'm not sure if my pup is just super sensitive, or if it was an issue with this product. His ears often bother him (he is a Dachshund/chihuahua mix). I usually use little ear wipes on his ears to clean them. But I thought this might be a better option for a more thorough clean of his ears. He kept scratching more after using this. I thought maybe I just needed to clean his ears again. After the second day, his ears were red and swollen looking. I'm really not sure if it was the product or just my pup in particular. But I switched back to the cleaning wipes I used to use, and they work much better for him. I ended up throwing this cleaner away.

Took care of the problem
This is a good product. I used it on my Shepard's ear and it took care of the problem pretty quickly. I used it once a week for 3 wks and then one extra week to be sure the eggs were killed .He's now mite free and much happier😃

The "miracle" Bella needed
My Frenchie had earmites since I bought her at 6 months old. I have tried many products, from natural to vet-approved, and the stuff that was vet approved, I have to say, made her inner ears turn red and I vowed to never do this again. I could say I was at the point of desperation when I decided to give this a try. I was surprised with the water-like consistency of it and was afraid i would use all the bottle on one application, but the truth is that I needed only that one-time application and another follow-up a few days later. The earmites are TOTALLY gone. I would say to make sure to follow the instructions and wipe gently the whole ear canal after applying, as I do believe that the oils in this should probably not be absorbed, but just applied once and wiped.

Do NOT buy!
The media could not be loaded. Don’t buy this item- it does not come sealed AT ALL and WILL LEAK everywhere before it even gets to you! I’m returning it as it is NOT WORTH $18 for something that can’t even be packaged and shipped to you SEALED! Plus, who knows if it was even TAMPERED WITH or not, as it could be a completely different liquid in there, since nothing was sealed in the first place. I would never put something that is not sealed on my own body (or in my ears) - let alone my beloved dog! Unacceptable!

Stopped dogs itching and head shaking very soon after
Vet said the oil was great for the dog and killed mites quickly, if you still have the gunk but not head shaking or scratching then could be a ear infection so be caucious for your dog's ear infection if the brown and black gunk still there although no sign of mites, great product for mites

Great Product
Just be sure you are familiar with a dog's inner ear anatomy before you stick a Q-Tip in it.
