I bought these for my 12 year old cat who is starting to show signs of arthritis in her back hips and legs. I noticed she was struggling to jump up to her favourite snoozing spot and decided to get some stairs. My mum had a plastic set for her small dog and I knew they were quite slippery to use and didn't look nice in her room, so I wanted a more sturdy, better looking set with carpet. These are perfect. The dark wood goes with my bedroom furniture so they look great. They were easy for one person to assemble and are the perfect height for the bed or the blanket box. My cat used them straight away and seems to appreciate them. If you have an elderly or less mobile pet, these are a great aid for them and well worth the money.

Over all I’m pleased with this set of pet steps. They come with clear instructions on how to assemble and they took no time to put together. Since they were quite a bit cheaper than many others of a similar design and made from similar materials, I wasn’t expecting them to be as sturdy or to look as nice once put together - so I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find they’re both. Our, 4.5kg cat started using them straight away and they’re stable and taking her weight with no problem. She had a stroke some months ago and her balance and agility is no longer what it used to be, but the steps are also not overly steep and the removable carpet sections that Velcro to each step, are proving really useful to aid her feeling safe as she’s using them. I would have rated them 5 stars, had there not been a small chunk of wood missing from the base piece.

Great quality. Pegs were very flimsy though and easy to break. But when built it’s good quality for the price.

If you're getting this to help an elderly dog or if like my Jack Russell X Labrador your pet has knee or hip problems then these aren't the best. The steps are far too steep to be comfortable for the height they reach. They're very tall which I initially thought was great as I wanted them to reach our bay window so my boy can look outside. But it turns out they haven't compensated for this by making the stairs any deeper. Watching him come down them is painful and sometimes he just jumps off the top to avoid them entirely which has lead to some injuries and prolonged use of pain medication. He does use them but we've had to make some adjustments and will be replacing them with something else like an adjustable ramp eventually. If it helps anyone our boy is significantly small than a lab but a good foot longer and half foot taller than a Jack Russell. Weighs about 10/11kg. I think it would work better for bigger dogs but then again they tend to need steps less.

Awful build quality: the holes and screws didn’t align resulting in the wood splinting in 3 places. Even with extra screws to hold it together it is flimsy, I’ve had it a day, I picked it up to move it and it fell to pieces. Complete waste of money

Excellent quality, we have a high bed and they make it so easy for our pug to climb on the bed with ease. My dog doesn’t slip they are great.

Good sturdy steps. Easy to put together. Deducted a star because there's no back board and the product details don't say this. Was going to return it but too much hassle.
