Intel Core i5 12400 6 Core Alder Lake CPU/Processor

Freed from the yoke of 13k woes, as a stand alone cpu with only P cores and with a 2070 it's a superb mid gamer. The power drawer is small and with a DDR5 mobo it really flies on a small tower cooler. SE120 in my case.

This thing is crazy fast! Yes, it’s a mid-range processor, but it easily outperforms most higher-range processors Intel offered in previous years. For graphics cheapskates like me, it’s also worth noting it can drive 2 4K monitors at 60Hz which my 10600k could not (using the integrated graphics). This is a really neat fact; given the price of electric now, I’ve disconnected my dedicated GPU and now rely solely on this for my desktop graphics output!

CPU works well with stock cpu fan, though that piece doesn't match my setup. Easy to install and worked instantly.

easy install had no problems what so ever. i paired this with a rtx 2060 12gb,16gb ram 3200 mhz and get over 150fps so banging cpu for gaming

Did what it was suppose to do...

Runs my NAS/multimédia server. It does not seem to consume a lot of power. It works well. I never had a chance to stress test it much though. But it's perfect for my use case.

J’utilise actuellement cet Intel Core i5-12400 dans mon PC, et il offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour du gaming, de la bureautique avancée et des tâches multimédias. Avec 6 cœurs et 12 threads, il est fluide en multitâche et assure de très bonnes performances en gaming 1080p et 1440p, surtout couplé avec une bonne carte graphique. Son horloge de base à 2,5 GHz et son boost jusqu’à 4,4 GHz garantissent une réactivité optimale. La compatibilité avec DDR4 et DDR5 permet de l’intégrer aussi bien dans une config abordable qu’une machine plus évolutive. Il s’intègre parfaitement dans ma carte mère ASUS PRIME B660-PLUS D4, et la gestion thermique est efficace, même avec le ventirad d’origine, bien que l’ajout d’un meilleur refroidissement puisse améliorer les performances en charge. Un processeur fiable et performant, idéal pour une configuration équilibrée et polyvalente.

Es un procesador potente para ser un i5 y muy eficiente. Apenas se calienta cuando se la exige. Sus 6 cores y 12 hilos dan la talla para usos diversos y correr juegos triple A. Por otro lado su excelente precio hace que sea una opción muy a tener en cuenta para renovar hardware. Por poco más de 300€ he conseguido el procesador mas una placa base excelente Gigabyte Aorus.

The Intel i5-12400 CPU is an excellent middle range processor. It comes with its own air cooler, and is easy to assemble to a compatible motherboard. It has four onboard video interfaces so needed no video card for my application; it was a perfect fit, a mix for video presentations via projector, and as a Network interface to a streaming system. It is also used for running miscellaneous applications in a semi-open setting. Excellent value all round.
