Replacement Hose Bib Connector Brass 3060-CG EZ-FLO Fertilizer Injection System(1)

Study and works well, no issues. Better than the plastic one that came with the system.

Replaced plastic connector that froze in the winter and broke…. my mistake! However, this brass connector is an exact replacement and should not have that problem. For one thing I will be more careful but the brass should be more durable.

The original plastic broke easily where the lines go in. This one works perfectly and I don't have to worry about it getting brittle and fragile in the weather.

1) I made my own injector using this part, two pieces of 1/4" line, and a CO2 generator soda bottle cap (maybe $15 in extra parts). Since reviews on the complete injector systems suggest that tanks don't last, I might as well use a tank that's cheap to replace (a 2 liter soda bottle). I keep the soda bottle covered to limit BPA and other VOCs. I also added two 1/4 valves, but I never needed them. 2) This adapter does not come with the flow restrictor washers. Fortunately, they are not hard to find (general plumbing washers of about the right size). There is a seat for them in this unit. In the official EZ-FLO system, you use these to limit bypass flow and thereby direct more pressure into the fertilizer tank. This works fine in my system as well. My drip circuits use over 50GPH, and I could probably run this without a restrictor washer altogether. 3) The inlet leaks when under pressure. It's a drip, not a flood, but it can be a problem depending on location. Maybe using better hose washers would address the issue.

Had a heck of a time finding non-plastic replacement parts. This works beautifully and will last MUCH longer than the plastic one my EZ injector came with. I would have been happy to pay more for this in the first place.

Flow restriction washers should be included with product. Without the correct washer, this is junk. I had to go to a specialty plumbing store to make my own. You can order them for about 7.00 plus shipping from ezflow if you don’t want to make them.

Replaced an older plastic version which the nozzle connections can easily break off.
