I moved into a new build house and i have the biggest drains i have ever seen, they are 15cm in diameter. Sadly for me there were construction materials left in my drains that i had to try and get rid of because i was getting awful sewer gases come back up the pipes and into the bathroom. I used 4 bottles of this to shift it, but i had a lot to get rid of. It was very effective in the end, its very easy to use you just pour the entire thing down the drain, in my case the shower drain, leave for 24 hours ideally and then pour down hot water. It does have a smell but its not overpowering, and it has left my drain much cleaner than before and the water is flowing down the drain much easier. I have found that i am getting much less sewer gases and so for me it worked, but i needed 4 bottles to clear it, but as i said there was a lot of gunk like plastic etc to get rid of.

Used this to clear our en-suite shower as the water was not draining away at all. Within seconds of pouring it in, the water started to disappear. I used just under half the bottle and let it sit for 15 mins before rinsing away. The instructions stated 500ml and leave for 5 mins or longer depending on how bad it is. Decided to give it another dose just to make sure so used the remainder of the bottle and left it for 20 mins this time before rinsing. The difference since using this is unbelievable. The water drains away instantly, no overflowing waste or shower tray when the showers on. It’s also very easy to use, works instantly on blockages and is very good value for money. Please take care when using as it’s pretty strong stuff.

What I liked: Works fast on mild to moderate blockages - In the bathroom sink, it cleared the clog in about 15 minutes. Water started flowing normally again without any plunging. Heavy gel sticks well - Unlike thinner cleaners, this one stays where you pour it. It clings to the blockage instead of running straight through. No strong chemical smell - It has an odour, but it's not overpowering or irritating like some other products. Safe on pipes - Used it on plastic and metal drains with no issues or visible wear. Didn't need to worry about damage. Good value in the duo pack - Two bottles means you're covered for multiple uses or tougher blockages. What I didn't like: Struggles with tougher clogs - It didn't fully clear the kitchen drain on the first try. I had to use a second dose the next day. Needs time to work - Even though it's labelled "fast-acting," you still have to leave it for at least 15 minutes or longer for deeper blockages. Cap design is messy - The bottle cap drips after pouring unless you wipe it down, which is annoying if you store it under the sink. Final thoughts: Mr Muscle Drain Unblocker is a solid, easy-to-use option for everyday clogs in sinks, showers, and drains. It's not magic on major blockages, but for routine maintenance or minor slow drainage, it does the job without harsh fumes or pipe damage. The duo pack is decent value if you want to keep one in the house as backup.

I’ve lived in my house for many years and have never used drain unblocker liquids. Plungers have usually done the trick until I had a really slow draining bath plug. Our shower is over the bath and I knew it would be caused by long hair blocking the drain. We use a hair trap but they still find their way down there. This product was amazing. I bought it because it states that it dissolves hair. I used half the bottle in the bath and split the remaining half between two sinks, just to give them a good clean. The results were great, wonderfully free flowing drains. No more standing in a bath of water while having a shower. Second bottle kept as a spare in the cupboard for the future.
