Most effective and comfortable eye mask ever, with multiple bonus features
Am amazed at how well this works for falling, and staying, asleep! I bought it for me, frankly not expecting to like it nearly as much as I do. I was really only looking for an eye mask that would stay put overnight, through tossing and turning, without shifting or feeling tight. I was a bit worried about the pillow aspect of this product, but, desperate for a good night's sleep ( am in a certain amount of pain whenever I am lying down or sitting, the after-effect of multiple spinal fractures from a nasty car wreck years ago) I decided to order one. What a great decision: this mask/pillow blocks out all light completely, and is so soft and gentle that it's immediately soothing. I am now getting to sleep more quickly than I have in years, and wake with no neck pains or headache. I was a bit worried that the wrap-around-the-head styling would make it uncomfortable for use in bed with a pillow, thinking that it would probably tilt my neck too much by lifting my head off the pillow, but not a bit so.This is simply a terrific product! I've used many different brands and styles of eye masks over the last 5 years, but they either slide down on my face, baring my eyes, or slide up and off my head, when I turn over in bed. The only way to keep the others on is to make the band(s) so tight that they are uncomfortable--but even then, they still shift around and some have even gotten caught in my hair. This one stays put without any noticeable pressure on either my face, eyelids, or back of the skull. Don't know how it works so well, but it works. And talk about soft and cuddly!Unexpected bonus: I live in the countryside, in a very quiet location, but if ambient noise in an issue for anyone, this design covers the ears so softly and totally that any such noise would fade away. I had company in the guest rooms on the same floor as my mine over Christmas, and I didn't hear anything! (Last year I heard various noises from these couples in the same guestrooms: low-volume TV chatter, one of their dogs coming and going, at least 2 people snoring, and various dressing/bathing sounds early in the morning.)I am immediately ordering 2 more Wrap-a-Naps, to send to my husband and my brother, as gifts. They both travel worldwide, almost continually, and have the usual hotel-based issues with getting to sleep: too much light, too many strange pillows and varied mattresses, and noise of all sorts. They will love these! (I am going to be quite popular. Thank you, Wrap-a-Nap!)

If you are using it to keep a snoring spouse from bothering you - a longer version would be perfect so you can wrap it around your head and ...
Soft, handy, - but needs to be LONGER! It works for wrap around head - as shown in picture - but to sleep with that it uncomfortable to have that bump behind your head. You can push it down behind your neck - but that is where you start wanting the pillow to be longer. If you are using it to keep a snoring spouse from bothering you - a longer version would be perfect so you can wrap it around your head and under your chin without it feeling like it is choking you. Or a longer version would be nice to be able to wrap your eyes/ears in any way that is most comfortable to you. So I do recommend if you have a small head and want to use it to go around your head for a plane or with a bump behind your head or neck.

My Somnolent Sidekick, My Secret Weapon Against the Forces of Brightness
Among the most difficult times and places to sleep comfortably is during the early morning hours on a chartered bus. Many times in my journey as a college and professional athlete did I find myself in just such a scenario: confronted with the noise of the road, the loudness of movies being played, the uncomfortable seats, and, of course, the brightness of the outside light coming in at every large window. Added to these nuisances was the fact that I am one of the population of people for whom sleep is next to impossible in places that are not my bed.Enter the Wrap-a-Nap into my life in 2010, and everything changed. The noise of the road and of movies was drastically muffled and reduced, and in my eyes the brightness of light was replaced by the calm of perfect darkness. What's more--much more--is the X-Factor of softness and comfort with which the Wrap-a-Nap graces its wearer. This is what really sold me on this. The beautiful effectiveness of the Wrap-a-Nap is, almost inexplicably, more than the sum of its parts as a noise-reducer and light-blocker. The WAN cradles your head in a plush embrace, the fleecy shell and the soft filling are the stuff of which dreams-over-the-road are made. There is a distinct satisfaction you feel when you try out the WAN in a place you crave sleep but have been habitually denied it. And then suddenly the forces of wakefulness--from within and without--fall under the Wrap-a-Nap's mighty powers of somnolence. I'm not kidding. Try it, and you will see; and then you'll want to log onto Amazon yourself and write a review like this for the WAN.My days of athletics and bus-travel have ended, but my use of the Wrap-a-Nap continues. It's effective in any travel setting whatsoever. I also use it for naps on the couch in the living room, when the sun comes through my window in bed in the morning, and even at night when I'm trying to sleep and I need a little help nodding off. This thing goes around my forehead, I grab the iPad to read a bit, and before I know it I'm lulled into dreams. I love this thing, and I will always have one. The depth of sleep it ushers in is just too profound to go without.

Not all it's cracked up to be
I am not sure how useful this is for napping. I tried it during a long haul flight sitting in economy and it did nothing to muffle sound and I got zero sleep, but that's pretty normal for me on flights. Plus, when it's covering both your eyes and ears it has a tendency to slip down. I do like it as a neck pillow, however, as I find regular neck pillows for flights force your head too far forward. Since I have a tough time generally with my neck and can't find a supportive pillow I've taken to wearing this in bed and it's helping a lot. I can't say I'll be doing this during warmer months though as it'll undoubtedly make me sweat. For now I'm enjoying it as a neck support but the filling is already thinning out where I've been laying on it so I doubt it'll last longer than a couple more months. If it does, I'll report back.
