FasciaDerm System for Plantar Fasciitis

I have really bad problems with Plantar Fascitis - in both feet and it comes and goes...Shots sometimes work... but the last time they didn't seem to do anything, so I tried these strips.They are incredibly simple and can really help by giving support and preventing the situation from getting worse.I found that I needed to learn exactly where to place the strip - I have large feet so the strips didn't leave much room at the end for the 'cross-over', but after a few times I got it right (which didn't leave many left for correct application). You have to make sure that you start in the middle of the ball of your foot and make sure to smooth it out as you apply - wrinkles or creases can be painful during the day.I used for a week after I got it right.I used a night brace and then did stretches and rolling my foot on a frozen water bottle prior to application of the strips.While it hasn't cured the problem... it seems to help a lot and makes walking during the daytime much easier.My only suggestion is that they seem to pretty expensive for some strips of tape... it would be great if they included a few more for the price (that would also keep me from being tempted to replicate the effect with duct tape <ggg>).

This is a surprisingly effective product. I have had chronic PF for 7 or 8 years. I have tried everything: stretching, icing, night splints, physical therapy, orthotics, cortizone shots. The cortizone shots worked wonders for a while, but unfortunately recently stopped working. Although the FasciaDerm does not totally cure my PF, they make a huge difference in my daily level of pain. I never thought that such a simple solution would provide such a level of relief. I now use these all the time! Don't know what I would do without them!

These can be a little tricky to get on the first time and then it takes a trial or two to figure out how to get them on --for your particular foot- depending on how tight you want it. I;d advise leaving the backing on and while you figure out how you want to position yourself, so you can reach the way you want to reach to get the tape on the way you want it, because once you take the backing off... there can be no mistakes. That is serious sticky stuff! The tape will hold all day and I really appreciate the support they provide, especially if I'm going to be on my feet a long time. Very helpful, easy to use, and easy enough to take off at the end of the day.

My physical therapist wife has plantar fasciitis. Naturally, she tries to self-treat her aches and pains, so she researched treatment options and discovered this tape. For a month or so, she has religiously taped up her foot every morning. Now, I wish I could tell you she is cured, but I can't. However, she is much better, and she says this tape is a large part of her ongoing pain management. So, for that reason, I'd heartily recommend this to anyone having the same problem as my wife.

I am very happy with this product. I have had severe foot pain for a year now and have had cortisone shots, physical therapy, medication, custom orhodics and spent a fortune on a bunch of good shoes. I was researching plantar fasciitis and heel spurs online when I saw an add for this product. I was skeptical but decided to order. It was immediate relief. I have since reordered and have been wearing them most days for the last 3 weeks. I know the package says to not wear them more than 24 hours, but I have done that on occasion without problems. I still have a problem on the top of my foot close to the toes so this tape is not for that. Hopefully that'll be solved soon too so I'll really be up and "running". I would most definitely recommend this product to anyone that is suffering with heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.

This is the second time I've purchased this product and for some reason the second batch is not as good. The tape does not stick throughout the whole day and it needs to be tight on the skin to work. I'm wearing open shoes so my feet are not sweating so I have no idea why it is not sticking. I had no problems with the first batch. Maybe this one was old or something. It really works when it stick well.

If you are suffering from planters fasciitis and heal spurs... these are a God send!

Worked for a few days and then pain came back while I wore them. I like the idea of them, but they are very hard to get off. Not sure they are an affordable option for long-term heel pain, but they did help a little.
