Powered Air Pump for Respirator, Powered Air Purifying Respirator Blower, PAPR Air Pump with Two 40mm Filters, 40mm and Bayonet Type Connector

I use this Powered Air Filter with a full-face respirator mask and it works great. The hose fittings are the industry standard. The total cost with a full-face mask is VERY inexpensive compared to buying the mask and powered filter combination together from one seller. The high airflow is several times more than you need even when breathing rapidly when working hard. The excess airflow keeps unfiltered air from entering the mask. The generous airflow keeps your face cool. The high airflow is very reassuring when working because you feel the clean air blowing into the mask. The unit comes with 2 filter canisters installed and that must be the trick for both great filtration with high airflow. The on/off switch is flush mounted in the case so it would be difficult to switch it off with a bump. The feed tube from the filter to the mask is included, and it's in two sections and can be used individually or joined together as one long feed tube. I purchased this item 12 months ago, January 2023. I have used it for 35 hours in an enclosed area while digging in very fine dust.

Works great, excellent air flow make it easier to breathe when wearing mask for long periods. Very nice quality and value compared other more expensive models. Wife Loved it, thanks.

I bought a Trudsafe PAPR about 3 years ago. It has worked great, running quietly and giving me about 6 hours battery life while using it until 6 months ago when it got noisy and battery declined to about 3 hours, so I just ordered a new one, because I liked my first one so much, but the new one arrived essentially dead on arrival. It runs for about a minute before failure. When I plug it into its power adapter the adapter light always stays green, and for the short time that it runs it is noisy. So, I am very disappointed.

I developed a wood dust allergy while building a boat. As the symptoms were mainly ocular, I had to use a full face mask. Using a traditional mask with directly attached filters, my face got very hot (no air circulation) and the faceplate fogged up within 5 minutes. At one point I drained 10 mL of sweat out of the bottom of the mask.This little pump drives purified air into the mask at positive pressure. The excess pressure leaks out around the sides of the mask (which isn't a problem because the airflow is from inside the mask to the environment, and not the other way around). So your face is kept cool and moisture does not condense inside the mask.I've had it for 6 months and use it about twice a week. It still works. Given that name brand equivalents cost $600, I'm pretty happy with it. The velcro strap for attaching it to your belt is cumbersome, but not a major problem.

Most of the negative reviews posted are not about this device. They talk about clips breaking which have nothing to do about this. One of the very best things about Amazon is their reviews. One of the worst is when they post reviews on a page for an item that have nothing to do with that item at all.This appears to be a well made portable supplied air pump. I attached it to a full face mask that I have used with a 120 volt air pump while painting. This allows me to use the face mask anywhere, like out in the orchard spraying the fruit trees without having to be tethered to a long hose attached to a fixed pump. It works well and was a low cost solution that allowed me to build a completely portable PAPR.

I like the volume of air it puts out. I would have given it a 5 but I had to take it apart and fix a short on the fan. I modified a full face mask to use it on.

Though the battery doesn't last as long as the 3M brand PAPR, this works great. I 3D printed an extra bayonet connecter for my P100 filters and printed an adapter to connect the 3M Versaflo bayonet to a 20mm NATO thread. Don't skimp on the helmet though, I learned the hard way.

good quality
