Terrible
This does not stay in your hair. It is terrible, there is no way to fasten it, it keep popping undone. Unable to return, seller does not accept returns. It was a waste of money.

Not my favorite
I'm always looking for new ways to style my hair and have used the regular Invisibobble ties with some success, so I thought I would try this twisting one. I'll be honest, I've had it for a few months and have only tried it twice because it just isn't my favorite hair tie. It's a little tricky to get the right tightness around my ponytail, and doesn't hold as well as good ol' elastic hair ties. I have lots of very fine hair with some natural waves. It's cute though, and it might work better for someone with a different hair thickness or texture.

Invisibobble fan girl here- not a big fan of these though :(
I pretty much love all things Invisibobble and swear by their hair ties and several of their other hair accessories. I was really excited to try these since they slightly reminded me of those crazy double loop/figure 8 hair ties I had as a kid. I thought this might be a cool addition if I quickly needed/wanted to put my hair up.Sadly, I have no idea how to get these to work without being a total disaster. While, yes, the mechanics should seem pretty obvious- it's easier said than done. Every time I tried to use these to tie up my hair, it ultimately came out looser than I wanted since I was trying (in vain) to maneuver. These are very cute and made of the traditional Invisibobble cord (same as what is used in the "Slim" version of the hair ties) but if you're trying to use these on yourself- they're tough. If you are trying to tie up someone else's hair, these are likely a slam dunk and very easy to use.Overall, not as easy to use as I would have liked but these could be a great option for other folks, depending on their application and use.

Easy to use
Pre-pandemic my hubby would go get his hair trimmed before it got too long. During lockdown and beyond, he didn’t want to risk getting sick for a hair cut since I’m high risk. So he decided so long as he’s working at home, he was just going to let it grow to enjoy longer hair while he could. As it got longer he started asking me how I people with longer hair tie their hair back without getting a headache. I told him we don’t. Then got offered this for review so I snatched it up.It helps a lot because it’s not a solid band, so you can sort of tighten it and/or take it off without yanking half of your hair with it. Takes a little tweaking and getting used to. Not sure how it would hold up to more complicated styles, but for just holding your hair back in a pony tail, it’s pretty decent.

Cool idea not the easiest to use
As someone with really thick and long hair, my wife was super skeptical when she saw this product. That being said, because she actually does love and trusts the brand she decided to give it a go. She found their hair ties about 2 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. As a new mom who never previously had her hair up she was always looking for something that would properly hold ALL of her hair up and back out of her way. She really liked these because not only did they do that, but as long as she didn’t tie her hair too tight they generally didn’t leave lines in her hair after use either. She usually uses the thick type hair back and finds that unlike other brands these don’t get knotted up in her hair even being silicone/plastic material. However, even with her trust in the brand, she wasn’t totally sure this would work. Her first go with this wasn’t successful, but she tried again and was able to get it in. She was shocked how well one/two tests held up all her hair so well. She tried it in our daughter's hair and had the same hard time holding the hair all together while trying to wrap and twist the device. It is a really cool device overall, however, it just isn’t super easy to use and it also isn’t portable being that you can't easily throw it on your wrist like you would a normal hair tie.

Learning curve?
I don't think I've used this type of hair tie since I was little. I remember those ones that were a hair elastic with one or two big beads on them and I think these are similar.I'm not sure if it's me or not but these weren't the easiest to put into my kid's hair. She has straight, sturdy asian hair and when I try to wrap this around her hair it's a little difficult. Maybe I'm not getting the technique correct and that's fine - we'll keep trying. She likes these though and they look cute when I finally get them in her hair. They seem to stay put unless she is running around a lot. They're $5 and it only comes with one...I think the price is fine since it feels like it will last a while, just have to get the technique down.

Not great with fine, thin hair. A little difficult to twist.
I have fine, thin hair and was really hoping this would work as a cute ponytail tie for work.I found that within just a few minutes, my hair started to slide out of the ponytail. Within a couple of hours, it was about 3/4 in and about 1/4 loose. That continued to progress to the day but never got so far as half and half. I just tried to embrace it as a cute "messy" look on casual Friday.I did have some difficulty with twisting the beads until they were secure. I twisted them two or three times and thought that would be enough. It took more than that to keep them from popping apart. That resulted in it a little difficult to untangle at the end of the day.I'm giving this item 4 stars as I feel it would perform well in thicker hair with more texture. Twisting it enough to make it secure but not tangled in a knot still might be tricky.

Keep trying
This took me quite a few tries to get into my hair. I have curly, thick hair and it was difficult to get everything in and hold it in place while also putting in the hair tye. Once in, however, it didn't budge all through out my day of cleaning. That was definitely was worth the struggle. BUT I had a mini heart attack trying to get this back out of my hair haha you just have to be patient and kind of feel how it's wrapped to get it out. After getting used it over the past couple of weeks, I may need to get a few more !
