Clipboard doesn't bend
I needed a clipboard to fill out my weekly mileage forms, which are printed in landscape (long-ways) mode. First thought was "oversized clipboard", so I wouldn't have to worry about the clip thingy being in the way. I was using a broken down cardboard box to fill out my mileage forms. Now, I use this clipboard and it doesn't flex when I'm writing on it. I like that this clipboard (or all of them?) have a clip, so I can stack all of my paperwork on it and keep it with the clipboard on my bookshelf.

Perfect -Just what I was looking for
I spent way too much time looking for a horizontal 8 1/2 X 11 clipboard on amazon & office supply stores. I thought I wanted wooden one but sellers will only sell 6 or more of those. I needed just two. I stumbled upon these and the price was right so I took a chance. I love them. They are just perfect. They have a hidden clip so you can also hang them. Lightweight but also sturdy.
