These are among the best headsets I have ever used. I am so pleased with every aspect of these headsets from the build quality and comfort to sound quality and isolation and everything in between. I’m not sure why they’re not mentioned in many of the reviews. Are there regarding good quality headsets I can swear by these they have a nice weight to them but it’s not compromising comfort. They come with a detachable cord. easy to use out of the box. They have a snug fit for passive sound isolation and minimal bleed. You get a balanced sound (not flat dead) where you can get the subtle nuances without over emphasizing a frequency over another. Great value for money.

Incredible sound
Just received these Yamaha HPH-MT5s this morning. I've been listening to music through them for a few hours and I'm just amazed how well they sound especially for the price. I got them on sale for $85. They sound more like $200 headphones 🎧. The music sounds so smooth and accurate, very balanced with very low distortion even at high volume. The sound is so precise and accurate, it feels like I'm right in the recording studio with the artists. These are my first pair of Yamaha headphones 🎧 and I have purchased their speakers and amplifiers and receivers over the years and have never been dissatisfied with them. They fit well, even though they're a little snug, they are probably one of the most comfortable headphones I own. I would recommend getting them definitely when they are on sale. I think you will be amazed as much as I am when listening to music with them. It just feels fun and even relaxing to enjoy your music just as they recorded and mixed it in the studio.

Great Sound, Build Concerns: A Review of Yamaha HPH-MT5 Monitor Headphones
The Yamaha HPH-MT5 headphones have impressed me with their sound quality! They deliver crisp, balanced audio that's perfect for music production, mixing, or just enjoying your favorite tunes. The closed-back design provides excellent noise isolation, allowing you to focus on your audio without distractions. What I Liked: Excellent Sound Quality: The audio is clear, well-balanced, and perfect for critical listening. Noise Isolation: The closed-back design effectively blocks out external noise. Comfort: The headphones are comfortable to wear for extended periods, thanks to the lightweight design and plush ear cups. A Note on Durability: While the sound quality is fantastic, I did have some concerns about the overall build quality. The headphones feel a bit lightweight and potentially susceptible to damage if mishandled. Thankfully, I purchased an extended warranty for peace of mind. Overall: Despite the slight concern about build quality, the HPH-MT5 headphones offer exceptional sound and noise isolation at a reasonable price point. For those who prioritize audio fidelity and comfort, these are a great option. However, if you require a particularly rugged pair of headphones for heavy-duty use, you might want to consider a sturdier model. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I am very happy with these headphones
I have had these for over a month. They are a great set of headphones. Sound is great, crisp, clear and the right amount of bass without being muddy and distorted and bright high end. They are also comfortable and snug without trying to cave in my skull. I would buy these again without hesitation.

Stellar comfort / Incredible sound
I’ve owned a pair of the MT7s for a long time and have loved them. However the MT7 gets a little uncomfortable after an hour of use. The MT8s are amazing comfortable. In a side by side comparison it’s obvious the quality upgrade in materials. I just had an editing session for hours and they rocked the whole way through. Sound quality, is excellent! In another comparison the MT8s have a richer and warmer tone. It’s very easy to hear when you have a high end a little too high. My engineering in sound is with music recording and mixing, and with video production. I’m very comfortable saying these are an excellent solution for you if your looking for a great set of cans. The one con is the detachable cable and how it connects to the headphones. I’m not really certain if it’s the unit itself or the jack set up... but when you move around, you can hear the cable brushing your shoulder or arm almost like a vibration in the headset. It has thrown me off a couple of times so I would suggest when you are in you final cut or master using this product, hold still enough so the cable doesn’t add any artifacts to your ears while making you important choices.

I’ve bought these headphones probably three times in the last four years twice for myself and one as a gift because of how great they are. The qualities of these headphones are elite. Comfortable earpieces. Noticeable noise cancellation. And when I’m recording vocals the sound quality is always so crisp. These headphones are very durable. I would like to see a blue tooth version of these in the future. If they ever do come out with a Bluetooth version I would love to review them. Big found a Yamaha headphones and these right here are worth every penny . Compared to other brands the price for these Yamaha headphones are actually very good and economical for the quality because the quality is elite. Highly recommended I give these headphones five out of five stars.
