One reviewer brought it to my attention that these are strawberry or orange & yellow rather than white because they're stale and don't taste too good?

Are the original from back in the day?

I believe it is not the same company that made them back in the day. I have sold quite a few of them,and the feedback I have got says that they taste just like the old ones, and brings back memories of their childhood when they have one.

Why were they taken off the store shelves in the first place?

I know right! I love these candles! So glad I found them on Amazon.
