If you are a beginner like me and have not had any experience with knitting this is a fantastic book! Easy instructions on casting on, basic stitches, yarns, and a few easy projects. My 7-year old grandson wanted to knit like me. He started learning and really enjoyed it. I got him this book for Christmas and he has made a few things in it. The projects are attractive to both girls and boys and the illustrations are colorful. The directions are easy for beginners. It was the only book I found that showed both boys and girls knitting which is important. I would recommend it.
