Easy installation and smooth operation
Purchased a new and comfortable office chair and wanted to be able to have it rise higher. So bought this 8" cylinder to replace OEM. Worked fine and liked the pricing. Appears solidly made.

Easy to install!
Great product! Took a few measurements, looked on Amazon and found this one that was even taller than my existing one that sprung a leak and broke. Feels good to know that I saved the life of my beloved shop stool. Who even knew that you could get this kind of stuff on Amazon??

Really high
I needed a gas-filled cylinder for a chair that could go high up, as I needed one for the garage use. This one is longer in its fully compressed position compared to average cylinders, and when extended you are sitting really high up. Even at fully compressed height is high enough for me.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do.
I ordered a office chair that wound up being too short and after spending $300+ I didn't want to have to order ANOTHER new office chair. So I ordered this cylinder to make my chair taller. Works like a dream.

SAG CITY for Herman Miller Aeron
This thing dropped from highest to lowest within 15 seconds without any levers set on it when I sat down in it after installing it on my Aeron Chair. Overall, this nets me the same active height as my previous cylinder at that one's max height, but without any of the rocking that one exhibited when doing so. This is 100% a bar stool class cylinder. Make no mistake, if you throw ~250-300lbs at this thing it will collapse like a sand castle. 450lb is a joke. Maybe a child or pet could actually use this at max height with an Aeron? In day to day, a steel rod with ballbearings for swivel would have accomplished the same thing. Looks like I'm getting some taller casters to make up the extra inch or so I need that I was hoping to get with this.

Tall & just what I needed
I have a secret lab titan , but it was too short for my recently installed wall mounted desk , so I got this , now my feet don’t touch the ground ( I am 6’0ft) but my body is positioned just right for my desk. Sturdy , I never feel like it’s going to break . The install was tricky but if you have a rubber mallet to remove the old piston , then you should be good to go .
