Bought this to use for sourdough but have used it for a few other things as well. It's fast and works well, the numbers are bigger and easy to read and the probe being longer makes it easier to use and to clean without getting the screen part wet. Super great value for the lower price. I also really like that the back is magnetized. I just stick it on my stove hood when I'm done.

I love this little bad boy. I'm constantly pulling it out of my utility drawer to make sure my oven items are the right temperature. Then I run it under running water, take a mild soapy washcloth to it, power it off and put it back in its case and into my utility drawer. It's well worth the price I paid and simple to use. It's easy to read too, and stays on long enough that if I dawdle for a minute or two it doesn't automatically power down. It's not useful to carry around on your person, but if tucked away in a drawer until needed, it's very handy.
