Carib Sea Arag-Alive Bahamas Oolite Aquarium Sand, 10-Pound

CaribSea live sand is a standard in the saltwater world. Shipping was fast, and the sand was still moist (as it's supposed to be). I liked this product because it's 10 lbs instead of the usual 20-40 lbs available in a lot of the pet stores. I needed the smaller size because I didn't need much sand for my 2.5-gallon refugium and didn't want to take from the sand bed already present in my tank. Notably, there are no shell fragments for fish like jawfish to use in building their homes. You don't really lose or save any money over buying from a store, but having it shipped to your home for free is a convenient bonus, at least for me.

Good product but being a living organism I didn't expect it to be shipped frozen solid. Unsure if any bacteria made it out alive but don't expect it since it was a frozen ice block upon arrival.

Looks really nice! And my blenny loves to kick it around!

Very fine sand almost resembling talcum powder. Made tank cloudy for several days. Not doing much of anything to help cycle tank either.

Worked really well mixed it with the Figi pink
