Pure cheese
Added two HG Gundams & a boat load of LEDs to the included diorama plate to spice up the model complexity. You might need a small triangular file to de-seam the rayguns tho.Ideal for beginners, simple, fun.

A good list set.
The media could not be loaded. I chose to install lighting effects into the machines. This is not a part of the kit and was custom installed. Challenging due to the small size of each unit. Paint work is a nightmare. There are 6-7 micro-leds in each unit that vary in intensity.

Good starter kit
This 1/144 kit features some nicely detailed Sherman tanks, which appear quite solid and realistic for their size, even though they are composed of only 4 parts each. The martian craft are also true to the '50s movie, although not the tripods featured in the Tom Cruise version and the original book. The diorama base is also well moulded with realistic detail, including tank tracks and the remains of three mummified soldiers. The box suggests 13+ as an appropriate age for this kit, but my 11-year son had no difficulty with the very simple construction, the only tricky bits being the clear parts which need to be tinted with glass paint and the "War of the Worlds" logo on the base, which needs a very steady hand to paint.Glue and paint are required to complete the model as shown on the package, and these are not included in the kit.

A little Difficult to put together but still rly cool
My son had been begging me for this set for ages because he’s obsessed with war of the worlds. So we did a space theme for Easter and got him it. I didn’t know it would need cement to put together so I wasn’t prepared, as we are new to building models. I used super glue on the tanks but plan on buying some cement so we can finish building it. But The joy on my sons face on Easter Day was priceless so I give it 5 stars

Fun for any War of the Worlds sci-fi fan
Nice easy kit - that is fun to put together. A great idea for the heat ray. It's a small finished product that can sit on the corner of a shelf. This would be a fun kit for kids starting out that are into sci-fi, and really appreciate George Pal's 1953 version. Ever since I was a kid and saw this movie in the 60's, I've wanted models of these war machines. Thanks Pegasus!
