Mikasa 5188294 Delray 14 Oval Platter and 9-Inch Vegetable Bowl, Bone China, White

Greats pasta bowls. They are a good size and have a clean and simple design. We own other Mikasa dishes, but these ones seem to be a better quality. Whatever coating they use on them constantly feels nice and slick so they clean up very well.

Exactly what I was looking for a deep but wide pasta plate ….. a perfect elegant shape for a Serving dish !!

We own a full set of Mikasa dinner ware with standard plates as well as these bowls, and for a while everyone would fight to use these pasta bowls for dinner instead of the standard plates. I love the shape: they are the perfect blend between a plate and a bowl. You don't have to worry about watery sauces spilling as they would with a regular plate, but there is enough room to use a knife and fork, which you can't usually do with a deeper bowl. I like that it is bone china and has an elegant design. They aren't quite as durable as stoneware, but that's the tradeoff for the lightness of bone china. They are easy to clean by hand and in the dishwasher, but they do sometimes get a faint iridescent residue on the outside: I can't tell if this is an issue with my detergent or with the plates themselves. It comes off easily, though. Definitely plan to buy more of these.
