Art Explosion Greeting Card Factory Deluxe 2

I upgraded from Greeting Card Factory to Greeting Card Factory Deluxe 2. The interface is updated to incorporate Windows XP's "user friendly" style. What's great about this program is that it's easy to use, but incredibly powerful. It includes two cd's filled with additional graphics and clip art images that you can use to customize your projects. In addition to greeting cards, you can make return address labels, pop-up greeting cards, banners, personal or business stationary, party favors, and the list goes on. I haven't tried the other major greeting card software packages--simply because this one is fun, easy to use, and has more than enough to tap into my creativity. My friends are always impressed when I send them cards from this software because it has a personal touch that store bought cards cannot offer. Highly recommended.

I originally bought this program back in September of 2003, got frustrated with it, and then never picked it up again. That is, until yesterday, when I was looking for an economical way to send out sixty customized announcements. I wasn't crazy about going to a print shop, so I thought I'd give Greeting Card Factory one more try. I was surprised! It's very easy to use, just by tinkering around with it on my own. There are so many cards and projects; I was having so much fun that after I designed my announcements I made yard sale signs! I give it four stars because the manual is almost worthless. That's why I was so frustrated at first. I thought I should read over the manual because I had never used a greeting card program before; I thought it would help. Fortunately this program is really easy to pick up. So, overall I would say this is a great product, but don't expect the manual be of any real help. Other than that, buy it! It's great!

I was very disappointed with this program. Sentiments were uncreative. The art was pretty primitive. The advertising offered much more than you get: pop-ups consisted of only one kind of simple pop-up; I expected more. It touted store-quality cards, but Hallmark has no comptetition here. There are hundreds to thousands of sentiments for each catagory, but after going through a couple hundred of each I only found a handful I would use and those were unimaginative. The Easter catagory was all bunnies and eggs--no Easter symbols or greetings at all. If I could delete the parts I'd use, I would end up with about 25% of this program useful to me. Also I had trouble opening files on disks 3 and 4. The file icons appeared, but when you clicked on them most were empty. And I couldn't open any of the font files. I did like the special effects for text, the craft catagory, the stationary set, and photo editing. I would not recommend this program unless it is drastically improved. It's way too expensive for what you get.

I own pretty much every program in the greeting card arena. Some are good, some not so good. But Greeting Card Factory Deluxe is probably the best. The cards themselves ar top-notch. Really good stuff. Was a little concerned in that there was no brand name. Would it be as good as Hallmark or American Greetings? Fact is that it's better - much better. Not only are the art and sentiments really first rate, the program is easier to use and much more full featured than anything else out there.My wife and I love greeting card programs. We save tons of money not buying paper cards, and we like the chance to customize what we send out. But if you're new to greeting card programs and you want to get started with just one software - this is definitely the one to buy.

Does not work with Windows 10 so had to bin it.
