Once Amazon decided to deliver, they lost the first one and it looked like they were going to be late again on this one, but once I had it, it was perfect for piecing my quilt, attaching fabric to small pieces of stabilizer. It also glides over the fabric with no dragging or pulling. The function of lifting off the fabric is great also.worth the money!

After much research, I decided to pony up the extra money for this iron and I am so happy that I did. I love the weight and balance of this iron. The construction is solid, unlike the 2 Rowentas that I ordered and subsequently returned. The iron heats up quickly to precise temperature settings for a wide range of fabric. The Auto-Lift is a great safety feature that eliminates the potential for burning the fabric, and the concern that a standing iron could be knocked over with a bump to the board. The 12-foot 360° pivot cord is perfect for me with plenty of length and no tangled cord. The diamond ceramic-flow soleplate glides smoothly over all fabrics. I cannot comment on the water tank, as I will likely never use the steam feature. Mineral corrosion has been an issue in the demise of previous irons, so I use a continuous spray bottle instead. When my ironing is complete, I turn down the temp, grab the iron by the handle to retract the feet, and pull the plug. This allows it to fit perfectly in the Khanka Hard Travel Case that I purchased on Amazon.

I only use this iron for ironing fabric for quilt tops.

I had a Chi for years and it kept tripping my breaker in my old farmhouse. Bought this one and haven’t had an issue with that. This iron is a dream!!!!
