Gold Flame Honeysuckle Vine - Lonicera - Very Hardy - 2.5" Pot

7/15/2020 Update: I planted my two plants on June 6th. As of today, they have grown 18” and have just put on their first blooms yesterday. I have added a photo or two of the blooms so other buyers can see a “non-sales” photo because sales photos always look amazing. I am very happy about these excellent plants. You can browse my photos to see how small these plants were on arrival, and now how much they’ve grown after only a month. Note: I did plant these in a pot with good potting soil, and sprinkled a little slow release 10-10-10 in the pot to help them get going. I did not expect flowers in the first year of growth though!7/3/2020 Update: we bought 2 more plants for my mom as a gift. Yet again, Hirt’s Gardens came through. Scheduled delivery said 7-9 days and the plants arrived at my mom’s in 3 days, and are very healthy plants. Another great buying experience with Hirt’s.I wrote a wonderful and detailed review of these plants after I received them, and shortly thereafter got my notice from Amazon that my review could not be used due to content. I have no idea why they blocked my review as I have hundreds of reviews posted of my purchases. So here’s my 2nd attempt.Great experience with Hirt’s gardens. Arrived much earlier than expected, carefully packaged in a box. I bought 2ea Gold Flame honeysuckle plants. I had never bought live plants from an amazon seller and I would buy again if it was Hirt’s gardens.Healthy plants, very thoughtfully and carefully packaged. Estimated delivery was in 9 days and I got my plants in 3 days.Got them planted in a pot to get bigger for a few years before I move them to their in-ground spot in my garden.Some pics for you of them after arrival with measurements, and again after potting with small trellises I made.Hope this helps someone. I always work to write reviews meaningful to other buyers. I value authentic reviews by others as well.

Grew over 8 ft tall in first year, zone 6b. Highly recommend, still blooming in late October.

The honeysuckle arrived a bit wilted and missing leaves.

Looked like a matchstick on July 2023 - planted right away July 2023 a year later July 2024 its thriving with flowers highly recommend in San Antonio

Two plants were practically DOA. They look like twigs in dirt and what leaves they had are dead. I’m hoping I can revive them as they were a gift for my mom. So disappointed.

I bought two of these last year and was very pleased. Yes they are small. They grow fast. They grew so much this year. Today I go outside and check on them to find one is completely gone. What the heck I say? My husband thought it was a weed and pulled it up by the roots!!! Sooooo mad!!!!!!!!! Just ordered a replacement. Wish I could order a larger one to match the one I still have. Very sad day.

When I purchased this it was nothing more than a stick. It has grown and is still healthy. Waiting till it gets just a bit taller to plant it outside by my arbor

I don't know why when I order more than one of the same plants at the same time, I seem to get one that is perfectly healthy and another that has problems. It is not only this nursery that has done this. It seems to be a new phenomenon with all plant nurseries. I've ordered multiple plants from three different nurseries this season. None has sent two or more of the same plant at the same time with the same health level. One of my honeysuckle plants is growing vigorously, the other is still just a stick in the ground.
