Small axe for small tasks
This axe is actually a great value. What it's not is a log splitting axe. This is not a elite bushcraft tool either. But it is a great tool around camp for fueling a hobo stove or small fire. It is really strong and sharp out of the box. The belt shealth is amazing. The saw is actually really good but it's slow. I take my time with it and dont expelling much energy ( your camping what else you got to do?) compared to other saws that cut fast. The hatchet it self is great for removing limbs from small branches. This is a great tool to make a wedge for splitting. I use this for tent stakes small fires and to save my knife from allot of camp work. It's not that heavy and the saw locks open and closed and has its own liner. It's a very solid tomahawk like hatchet. I just dont try to push it past it intended use. I also dont Batton my knives either so take it for what it is.

Light and durable
Great combination, hatchet, and saw. Perfect size to carry on my adventure motorcycle. Lightweight and durable.

Surprisingly durable
Awesome item. Pleasantly surprised at how sharp the hatchet is and the saw part works great also. I was worried that The hatchet head and saw would loosen with use but that's not the case it's still tight. And the hatchet is still sharp.

Very good hatchet.
The build quality is nice. The blade doesn’t get dull that often (30-50 chops before sharpening). But the axe blade can’t chop that well. For splitting just get an axe.

Quality made
Used the heck out of this on a camping trip. I hacked away at hardwood logs for starter wood in the camp fire. Blade is sharp as heck. I hammered tent stakes in with ease and the jack knife saw is rugged as any I’ve seen. It could do some damage cutting up anything in a survival situation and comes in very handy for camping.

Best for camping
We got this to chop kindling. It does that but a hatchet that's a little heavier would be better for day-to-day use. That said, this is perfect for camping being that it's lightweight and multifunctional.

An OK ax and an OK saw in a single tool
I bought this combo unit at the beginning of the year. I had my first one fail as bolts holding the saw in place fell lose and fell apart. They quickly replaced it. So that was good. And the replacement has last well in durability since. So now let me tell you, my thoughts. This is not a great AX or is it a good saw. But the fact that it's in a solid and light weight everything in one is very helpful. The blade needs to be able to bevel through wood. It took me about 20 minutes to saw threw a 4 inch hard-ish wood dead tree. and with my folding saw i can get threw in 5 minutes. The ax is sharp and does cut well, but because of the way the handle holds the ax you can only start to split a few inches and when your wood doesnt split you cant go any further as it hits the hilt. The hammer on the back of the ax is too thin to be useful and could be solved by just adding a couple plates to the side and make it a laminated hammer. The saw blade is handy, but the teeth are not aggressive enough to really saw wood and in a quick manner. i think this is more a design issue. i think the metal should be a little thicker to make it more rigged. I still carry it with me as it is a 1.5lb lighter than carrying a hatchet and a saw, but i am now having to think about it as if i am planning on cutting any amount of wood i am going to bring my normal hatchet and my folding saw. I hope a v2.0 comes as I think if they can address those 3 issues, they would have a near perfect product that i would gladly spend the money on. I want a quality AIO Saw and Hatchet and I would gladly pay over $100 for it.
