Is this smartlock compatible with multipoint door locks in the uk? i have to twist the handle first before i turn the thumbturn knob.

The Smart Lock can be compatible with multipoint door locks. Furthermore the Smart Lock is compatible with most of the lift-up handles. But it always depends from the exact characteristics of you cylinder and door.

What happens if batteries die? Will a key override it?

Yes, you can continue to lock / unlock your door from the outside with the key if your cylinder is equipped with an emergency function or priority function. This means that you can lock / unlock your door lock from the outside, even if there is a key inside the lock. It is important that the key inside the lock turns synchronously with the key on the outside. The cylinder must have this feature to ensure that the Smart Lock does not lose its position after locking the door with a physical key.

Apecs thumb turner. is there any one using this type of knob?

The Smart lock is indeed compatible with knob and thumb turn cylinders, In order to help you find the right adapter for your cylinder we would need a picture. There seems to be several pieces of kit needed to get the full functionality not sure what piece of kit does what - door sensor, bridge, keypad etc.

This works as it is but the bridge is the main thing you would probably wish to purchase The bridge allows this to work over the Internet rather than it's built in Bluetooth ability. The door sensor is not really required, I have the 2.0s too which came with them and the only advantage of having them that I have found is when you activate auto lock it can run quicker than the time you choose based on the door opening and closing. The keypad allows for a code to be used which you can share with other people rather than having to unlock the door over the Internet and it works via Bluetooth so you could opt to not have the bridge and this will still work. The fingerprint reader is cool sounding but requires setting up in person so not as good as the keypad in my opinion, It is delayed compared to the keypad but I got it because it seemed cool to open my door with a fingerprint and it was completely irrelevant as my phone unlocks the door using geo location so I rarely use the keypad or fingerprint because of the geo location ability. Perfect smart lock

Love a smart home and have been after a decent smart home lock for ages. The Nuki lock is perfect for uk pvc doors that you have to lift the handle on to lock. Easy installation however you will need either the Nuki barrel lock or a lock that you have have the key in and use from both sides. Batteries last for a long while about 6 months but would recommend rechargeable. Perfect if you have kids so they never loss a key again.

Easy installation love the hands free feature.

Great lock. It's a bit noisy but works as described. Love that it knows I'm home and unlocks automatically. The downside to this system is that you have to buy all the bits as addons to get full functionality which can add up fast. Installation was a breeze. Recommend it overall.

Easy to install

I really liked how easy it was to install and set up to iphone app and Apple Homekit. No need for a Nuki Bridge if you just want to use with phone locally or you have an Apple Homepod. Good value and happy so far.

Flimsy.

Just installed the lock as per instructions. The locks just called off the mounting frame easily. To the point that when the door is closed from outside, it fell off on the inside making it rather useless. Poor quality. Have heard nothing from Nuki. Don’t waste your money.

Excellent "Phone Key" automation for existing Euro Lock keeping key function unchanged.

Nuki Smart lock 4.0 (outside UK and Amazon couldn't deliver this item). Bottom line: Simple installation, update and configure. Within 30 minutes had it fully up and running, integrated with Apple Home (uses Matter), Phone keys and Apple watch keys up and running, walk up unlock and more. Dare I say it, the door lock equivalent of a Tesla. Caution though: Door lock MUST be a Euro type lock. If the internal lock is a thumb key you will need the (free) adapter from NUKI. Before considering this, go onto the NUKI website and run through the suitability check list. Reliability: too early to tell.

Terrible battery life

It works fine, but the battery life is terrible; it shows a low battery warning after just a week. I tried using alkaline and rechargeable batteries, but I didn't notice a significant difference, and I'm sure I set the correct battery type in the app.
