Does exactly what it says. It's a lot quieter than the smaller model I bought, and I could actually fall asleep with it running (I'm a very light sleeper, so this is a huge deal for me). Over night I noticed that the bedroom was a lot more comfortable, and in the morning the tank was almost completely full (I emptied it before going to bed). So far I'm very happy with it. (for reference, I also have the 1500 ml premium dehumidifier which is a lot noisier, and isn't strong enough for the kind of humidity levels I've been facing)
