Good product
Nice product. Easy to work with, very sturdy, holds up and cleans up nicely after molding with cement. Turned out super cute. Family and friends loved their turtle planter gift.

I'm in love with this mould
I'm in love with this mould. It took me a few tries to get it right but now it works like a charm. I'm making a few of them for myself and for my friends and if it should break before i'm done, i'm so getting another one. so far i have made 8 castings and the mould is still holding strong. It's a little smaller than i hoped but still very nice.

Suggested for intermediate+ mold users newbies should read.
This makes beautiful concrete turtles. I have made several already. So far, to spite the lightweight material, the mold has sustained very little damage. My family loves them and I have even started making some for friends. I had not had the intention of selling them but I am getting to the point where giving them away seems silly. I looked up the price others are selling theirs for and they seem to go for about $25 dollars a pop. At about $40 for the mold and $5 dollars for an 80lb bag of concrete to have already started making a profit. Not including shipping or other materials I used to make the turtles sturdy though. Shipping can get expensive as they do weight over 30lb a peice. Some tips I have for people intrested in this product. The mold is a very light weight material that is so thin I am sure it will brake after a time. For now, it is holding up quite well. Also you must find a compleatly level surface to lay it down on. If it is not compleatly level due to the flimsy plastic material it will cause fractures in your peice as it cures. Fracture are weak points in the peice that can causing you finished piece to brake when it is pulled from the mold. The flimsyness of the mold also makes it impossible to move while curing as this will cause fractures as well. Use a mold release or a thin layer of oil in the mold to keep your peice from sticking. Wipe the mold clean with water and soft towel between each use. I have combated some of the brakeage by cutting out inserts of chicken wire to place in the mold to strengthen it while it cures. I have not tried adding fiberglass to my concrete mix but I heard that helps as well. For first time concrete users do not use the recommend amount of water in your concrete to water ratio. You want to use just a little bit more water so your mixture is the consistency of a thick rice pudding. Consistency is important! If there is to much water your product will be too brittle and fall apart easily. Too little water will result in more bubbles and the concrete will not fit to the mold correctly. Also scoop in a layer shake and tap mold to remove or prevent bubbles. If using wire supports as I do fill mold half way. Place wire cut out into the mold on top of the first layer then fill to the mold to the top. Taping and shaking as you scoop your mixture in.

Sturdy and well made
This is sturdy and well made. I’ve used it about 8 times now. I use a thin coat of vegetable oil before filling, and the piece pops right out when done, with only a little encouragement needed. I use Quikrete crack resistant concrete, mixing about a gallon and a quarter of water with an 80 pound bag. That makes for a thinner mix, which makes it easier to get the bubbles out. With the requisite shaking and hammering, I get few or no bubbles on the finished piece. You don’t need to clean the mold thoroughly after every use - I just wipe it with a cloth to remove any debris, and clean it with soap and water after every few uses.

Great
This was a great moulde. I love how easy it is to pop out. I made good money with it this past summer. P.S. people like it if you paint them

Not happy. 6 inch by 7 inch hole. Bad description. Wrong photo.
Description is incorrect. The planter hole is 6 inches by 7 inches. Thats Okay, only if you know ahead of time and are ok with a tiny planter. Its Not okay if you planned your flowers based on the item description. Also, its Too pricey for what actually showed up. I'd say 7 bucks total would be worth this smaller size. Just an opinion of someone hoping for honesty and accurate photos. Better luck next time I guess. Quality of mold is GOOD. Cooking oil works well as release agent. I needed it To be the measurement in the description photos. I won't buy online again for a mold because of this.

Hard to get concrete to release.
I got a few different molds for stepping stones etc. This is pretty much the exact same as the turtle mold I have. The problem I faced is that concrete really didn't like to release from this mold. I lubricated with some thick motor oil, I have made about 15 molds using the turtle and dog par print molds. All of them turned out great using this method. This one I have broken 4 molds trying to get it to release. I don't know if it's the mold or me.
