LeBron doesn't even tell D Wade after he had made his decision. The only person who was given the heads-up that something might be cooking was SI's Lee Jenkins.The book is a star making turn for David Griffin. He trusts his instincts at all times, navigating the middle road between LBJ and owner Dan Gilbert, but agreeing over time with LBJ' s quick accessment (although unspoken) that David Blatt was not the right man for the coaching job.LBJ is driven perfectionist who can be passive-aggressive when sending texts or glances to teammates. LBJ models Michael Jordan. Kyrie models Kobe. Kevin Love is caught between alpha dog expectations and being the third option on the team.In the end, the entire team bonds together with bit players such as Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson playing major parts in keeping everybody loose. The Block, the Shot and the Stop are explained in detail. The book ends with the King fulfilling his promise to the Land.

I've followed LeBron James' career since catching his first high school game on ESPN. Despite reading and listening to much of the coverage of his return to Cleveland and the title run, this book was packed with stories and other information that was new to me. I'm sure it will be to you, too.

I'll be honest...as an avid Cavs fan I essentially paid for a summarization of things I already knew. Although there were a few BTS tidbits that were nice. I would recommend it more to a casual fan because it offers tons of information if you aren't privy to it. For a Cavs fan...I'd say it's a nice keepsake to have for the incredible run they were able to accomplish. The memories reliving that alone are worth paying for. The writing was well written and easy to read, plus there's some nice keepsake photos in the middle section. The jacket is also gorgeous. Overall, I'm satisfied.

This book is awesome, it talks about everything that happened since the beginning to the end of the rebuilding of the team. It also mentions how every player felt during crucial moments throughout games, plays, also rumors, trades, the money involved, comments amongst players, how the team operates in certain aspects. I really learned a lot of things that I didn't know about plays, the league. Etc... I recommend this books to everyone, not only because I am Lebron James fan, but because I am also a fan of the game of basketball, and I didn't really expect to learn so many things from this book.

This book is a must for any Cavs fans, but is incredibly disappointing for those of us who followed the story of this team over the past two years. It is a missed opportunity. The reason is simple: the book is really a compendium of the very in-depth and excellent reporting that McMenamin especially, as the Cavs beat writer for ESPN, and Windhorst did throughout the Cavs run. The book is well-written and the reporting is seamlessly woven into a single narrative, but aside from a bit more insight from Gilbert and Griffen, there is nothing new here if you were following this story closely. For example, the clearly were not able to score interviews with LeBron or Blatt to give us real insights into the dynamics after some time and perspective: we are left with the remove of the writers' views of the interactions and the many statements made at the time of the feud. How much credit should Blatt have gotten for defensive adjustments in the first run to the finals (vice Lue as "defensive coordinator"? What does Irving really think about how things went down? Same thing on the Gilbert-LeBron or Love-LeBron dynamics. What do they think of each other now? Those are the big ones, but I could go on. Folks like Timo and Delly have left the team, so their insights would be great to have. In sum, McMenamin in particular did a phenomenal job covering the team over the past several years; the book suffers in that he does not go much beyond his own reporting to give us more depth to the backstory...

of the Cavs 2016 miracle season. If you are a sports fan in general or a Cavs fan in particular, this is must reading.

This is probably the best book i have ever read and i'm not even a book guy. It is so well written that when i read it, i feel like i'm there when it is happening. This is a must read if you are a Cleveland Fan, Cavs Fan, Lebron Fan, or just a fan of the game. It is truly an amazing book

Great sports book, Windhorst excellently relates to the anguish of decades of terrible cleveland teams. Gives insight on Lebron, without neglecting giving a rounded picture of the roster and coaches. A really fantastic book about a remarkable sporting achievement, by one of the greatest sportsmen of all time.
