Speck Products Presidio Cell Phone Case for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus - Black

In anticipation of the arrival of the galaxy s8+ I ordered, I also bought a gluttonous amount of cases for it. Really a bit foolish but it is what it is.I'm not going to bad mouth or point out flaws in any of the other cases I did purchase though they certainly exist.Instead I'll focus on the Speck Presidio case. I knew as soon as I had removed half of the outer bubble wrap envelope from the package the Speck came in and the feel of it that this case was a far superior product than the others I had purchased. Sometimes you truly do get what you pay for and this is one of those um...cases. Pun unintentionally inevitable there. So moving on the box the Speck was nicely snugged up into by an S8 shaped raised inner portion of the package was drastically different than any other case I had received some of which had nothing but a flimsy plastic bag as packaging. This seems a minor detail and it is overall. It is also an indication of the quality of the product contained within.That product being very well done by Speck. There is not a flaw nor slightly imperfect or suspect aspect to be found. Fit and finish are very nice being incredibly thin for the feeling of stout protection the case gives off. The inner layer which is not a true 2 piece design like we've all no doubt become familiar with but instead another layer within the harder shell thats as integrated with that shell as it is different in texture and purpose. The ridges of "impactium" (yeah I know) that line the inside lip or edges of the case absolutely present you with the feeling that they do exactly as intended. They protect your phone, no doubt about that one. It has a nice amount of bezel protection and the buttons are noticeably cooperative with any input you give them. The only small caveat is that to me the case which is advertised as "grippy" may be a bit slippy in reality. Its hard to say until I've got a warm phone thats been confined in the case for awhile and I'm actually hands on with it to know. My first impression is that it is not "grippy" yet not a slippery case either. It's hands down the best out of the handful of most popular case's that have been reviewed here on Amazon that I followed the herd and also bought. That is, the best in my opinion. Yours may differ but I'd be willing to bet not many have disparaging words to say about the case even if looking for reasons to have them.Some things are just nice products period. I think this case comfortably fits within that group.Worth the extra coin, recommended

I originally had the transparent case but despite claims it would "resist" turning yellow - it did no such thing. I had to hunt hard to find this same case in black but I am glad I did. It fits my Galaxy 8+ extremely well and still allows easy access to the edge features of the phone. It's not as "grippy" as the clear case - a slightly different material, but the edges have a textured grip and I've never had any trouble with it slipping from my hands. I have a PopSocket on the back - which stuck to it like a champ. The price was also great.

Took a couple days of having it to be able to get the buttons to loosen up enough so that they didn't press the power of volume buttons of their own accord when I put the case on it. But now it seems fine.Only other big gripe, & why I'm only giving it 4 stars, is they weren't kidding when they said its a hair magnet. Wish a color other than black would have been available, so that's less obvious. Otherwise I love the feel & how well it fits, plus the port covers are a giant bonus.

Solid case, smooth comfortable material, overall exactly what I was looking for.Those cases that have that cheap rubber around the edges that get caught in your pocket have always plagued me when purchasing phone cases online, but this one isn't that and I'm happy for it.

Looks: I like the matte, smooth look.Fit: There is a slight position difference on the left buttons (Bixby button and the volume). It takes a quite a bit of effort to make sure both clicks with ease. But still, the fit is not perfect and one button takes a little more effort than the other. I adjust it so that volume buttons fits the best since I don't use the Bixby button.Protection: The lip around the screen is tall enough to rise above the screen from all 4 sides, unlike many other cases.Other: The silicone texture is somewhat slippery with light pressure but when more pressure is applied, it gives you a good grip. This means for the normal use, it's on the slippery side. However, the thing has higher resistance against cloth materials which makes it more difficult to move it in and out of pockets.Also, the covers for the headphone and power takes quite a bit of effort to open and defiantly not recommended for people with nails done.I'll likely continue using the case since there aren't alternatives that I like.

Finding the right case for your phone is always a difficult task. I prefer a case that totally covers all edges so they don't get dinged and there are a lot of snap-on thin plastic cases that leave the top and bottom of the phone completely exposed. My job requires a lot of time out of the office and on the road; my phone is an essential part of my business so I want a case that offers good protection. That's can be a difficult thing to find without adding a significant amount of bulk but this case is the one!Pros1. Nice snug fit with good rounded edges everywhere2. Ample protection3. Minimal added bulk4. Precise cut-outs for charging port, headphone jack, camera, microphone, speakers, etc.5. Buttons for power and volume retain their positive clicky feedback.Cons1. Price is a little on the high side compared to some competitors2. Wouldn't mind the case being a little more grippyI've actually got two work phones and bought this case again without hesitation because I like it that much!

I really like this cover. I feel my phone is protected even if I am very careful with it and do not drop it often. My favorite think is how sleek it is yet it has a good grip. Had many cases in the pass, this is my favorite thus far.

2 things to know with the Galaxy S9... the power button will not operate when the phone is in the case. You have to take it out of the case. The other thing is the material the case is made of really attracts dust and pet hair, so if you have a dog or cat, you'll constantly be picking hair out of your device. I replaced this case within 24 hours.

Die Handyhülle schützt das Handy perfekt , hat schon den ein oder anderen Sturz überlebt ohne SchadenWürde ich wieder kaufen

Die Speck Hüllen die ich bisher hatte, waren immer sehr robust und aus einem festen Material. Bei meinem jetzigen Handy (Galaxy S9) kann ich diese Schutzhülle leider nicht benutzen und musste sie zurück schicken. Sie ist viel zu dick und fest durch die schützenden Membranen in der Hülle. Man kann die Tasten nur schwer bedienen an den Seiten des Handys. Entweder konnte ich nur die An/Aus-Taste benutzen oder die Lautstärke Tasten. Es hat immer nur eines von beiden funktioniert und man musste die Tasten richtig fest drücken. Mein Handy ging zwischendurch immer an und wieder aus durch den Druck auf die An/Aus- Taste. Kann ich leider nicht empfehlen.

Back got scratched up easily when its advertised as scratch-resistant. Volume buttons are not straight, they are protruding outwards of the case
