A lovely, well made tea cozy. The cork base provides support and extra insulation. The only downfall is the fabric could have been a bit more insulated to keep the tea a bit warmer. Solution was to wrap a tea-towel around it.

This tea cozy is both pretty and functional. The material is thin, but it still manages to keep tea hot. It looks well made, no flaws or frays. I like to take my time drinking tea, which was resulting in cold tea about half-way through a cup or pot. Now I just pour as much as I want to sip at a time. I tested the cozy with just boiling water and checked it every 10 minutes. The water stayed sufficiently hot for 1 hour and 20 minutes before noticeably cooling down. Factors that could reduce the time it stays hot would include opening the teapot lid multiple times and adding a milk or creamer. The inside bottom has a cork base which is zippered in and removable for washing.

It's pretty, but doesn't keep my pot warm for very long, and I've seen ones that work better. The ribbon is flimsy, and it's a necessary component as it is the only thing that cinches the cover close to the pot. I imagine it wouldn't last in good condition as long as the rest of the cozy. It's too big for my 32oz pot, fwiw, but that might be my fault for not finding any place where the size was in the description. ALthough I thought a 32oz pot is at least average size if not a little big.
