Must have gadget for old cars!
Got this mainly to play my music from phone. It was so easy to set up, just set it to the same empty radio channel as the car radio, then you can get the sound through the car speakers. Have used it everyday in the car for around two weeks now and it's super reliable; never loses connection or gets static sound. Connects to my phone as soon as I enter car automatically and haven't even had to charge it yet! (Travel for about an hour each day). Honestly surprised at how good it is, I thought most of these things would have interference or something. Glad I opted to buy the Avantree instead of a cheaper one, fantastic wee gadget; wish I had bought sooner to listen to my tunes on the road. Thanks!

I LOVE this
I have an older car (2008) and it doesn't have swanky inbuilt Bluetooth things but I do need to be able to take calls whilst driving for work. This product allows me to connect both my personal and work mobiles simultaneously, works brilliantly with Google Maps and I've found the FM transmitter to be fab as well. The call quality is generally good, although in very built up areas can be a bit variable. Sometimes it doesn't automatically connect my phones but is resolved by turning it off and then on again. Its really easy to use. I'm really pleased with it and would recommend it.

Call Quality’s Perfectly Loud & Clear
The stereo with Bluetooth in my 12 year old car suddenly stopped working except the radio. This product is very compact & made of high quality materials. The clip for the sun visor is strong & solid. The speaker unit fully charges in 2 hours for up to 12 hours talk time, paired easily with my iPhone. Operation is super easy with auto on/off, big call button with volume up/down. Speaker is loud with super high quality calls. When streaming music the sound quality is poor and extremely tinny especially at loud volume. The FM transmitter function easily connects to the car radio and the streamed music was surprisingly good quality, clear with no interference. However the phone calls quality was terrible with lots of feedback. I will not be using the FM function again. As a Bluetooth speakerphone for phone calls and sat nav directions this unit is excellent and extremely high quality! I definitely recommend this product over the cheaper £10/£20 versions. You get what you pay for!

Great product, better customer service!
I had an issue which needed the involvement of Avantree customer services. I was initially dubious about this but Rie, in Customer services, was an absolute delight to deal with. Chat questions dealt with quickly, replies to emails with actual solutions, and a swift resolution. I would say part of this is down to Avantree and part down to Rie’s involvement. Many other companies could learn from Avantree customer services! 5 stars! Thanks Rie!

Really good hands free speaker.
I purchased this item based on other people's reviews and I found everything to work as well or better than I expected. It connects 2 devices via bluetooth. The sound is more than good enough and more usefully, when I speak to other people on the phone, they can hear me (I drive a noisy truck). I developed a fault with the unit staying on. Support were brilliant. A replacement item was sent out and I received it with in 2 days. The replacement works perfectly. I listen to talking books using the speaker on the hands free unit and am pleasantly pleased to be able to listen to the books using the speakers. I have not tried the FM transmitter function, so the sound plays on the radio. This device has my recommendation and 5 start for rating.

Handsfree answerphone
The only think I dislike with this is anybody open`s or shut the door it turns itself on & off, which is quite annoying.

- Tested with iPhone 14 Pro - Pairs easily with phone, haven't tried its 2-phone capability. Very easy to set up an use. - Speakerphone totally rejects background sound even with car windows open and produces no voice dropouts even under severe background conditions. The parties I talk to are very thankful for this; they have long been annoyed by the background sound and dropouts with several other speakerphones I have used including the phone's built-in speakerphone and my Bluetooth 2-way speakerphone hearing aids. Part of the key to this good performance is probably the microphone being so near my mouth, since the unit is mounted on the car visor. - The built-in speaker is as good as an inexpensive small speaker is expected to be; being very near the driver's ears helps it to work without having to be turned up to distortion level. - The FM radio link is as good as FM radio links can be, i.e. there is some hiss and crackle but on the whole, with my fairly good quality car speakers, the speakerphone and music streaming sound over them is much better than the Roadtrip built-in speaker. - The button is very convenient for answering, rejecting, and ending calls and redialing, and for initiating Siri commands. But with the microphone so near my face I don't have to speak Siri very loud anyway, unless I have the speaker or car radio speakers playing loudly. - This is the only visor-mounted product I have found that both streams audio via Bluetooth and acts as a speakerphone, and it works very well. - Allows different phone apps to selectively use it, e.g. I can stream music over my hearing aids and use Roadtrip as my speakerphone. So do I have any complaints? Only some slight ones: - The unit is a little heavy, you might need to tighten the hinge on our visor to keep the visor from sagging, or add velcro to hold the visor up. - I am tall and was annoyed by the unit being mounted on the visor, particularly when getting in the car while wearing a hat. So I used velcro to mount it on the ceiling above the rear-view mirror. I have not tested its microphone pickup and background canceling performance in this configuration yet.

Arrived on time and well packaged, thanks Amazon. Purchased for use in my older 2012 Grand Caravan that has no Bluetooth connection and didn't want cables all over the place plugged into the auxiliary port, also wanted to be able to listen to the radio and still talk on the phone. This device fits the bill perfectly because of the built-in dual speakers. It was very easy to install after the initial charge and connected seamlessly with Google assistant. I can now just push the volume button to activate the assistant and say what I would like to do like phone a person, text a person, read text messages, listen to the news and find a driving route for any destination, without having to touch the phone. I had to set my Pixel 8 to keep unlocked while connected to the Avantree Roadtrip (extended unlock in settings) and give the Roadtrip access to Google Assistant, but once I did that it works flawlessly. The battery life is also very impressive too, I have had a few weeks and it's still showing fully charged. This is a great way to stay legal and still use your phone in Canada. I also like the automatic power of when I leave the vehicle and power on when I get back in. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable hands free set up in older (non Bluetooth vehicles. Five thumbs up from me 👍👍👍👍👍
