Double Wood Supplements Hmb - 120 X 1000 Mg Capsules

My wife and I both use HMB to help with recovery after workouts or long days in the yard/garden on our farm. Over the last two years, I have tried at least six different brands of this supplement with varying results, so I have a reasonable idea when a product is actually what it claims to be or is a cheap fake. I ordered a bottle of this Double Wood HMB when our supply of our "regular" brand was running low, and after using half the bottle, I can honestly say that this is a legitimate product. The results from using this were exactly the same as any other good HMB supplement - reduced muscle soreness the day after a heavy workout and the ability to go right back to lifting or working much faster than without using HMB. HMB isn't a miracle cure for fatigue or muscle soreness, but it definitely has a significant impact on reducing those effects and enhancing recovery. It will remain in our supplement arsenal at all times. Disclaimer - I accepted a highly discounted second bottle in return for a review, but I only did so because the first bottle worked like a good HMB supplement should. Had it not been effective, I would not have taken the offer.

I was looking for something to help my aging mother, and I found HMB. I decided to try it myself. It was almost 2 years ago. I was surprised to see the result so fast; I gained 1/3 of an inch in my upper arm muscles in one week. (At that time I was 63). I usually don't write reviews, but I'm writing this positive review after reading negative comments on Calcium form of HMB. (This product is CA form). There are two kinds of HMB - The calcium salt (CA) and free acid form (FA). Recently FA form of HMB is touted to have more bioavailability, but be aware, not enough human studies have been done to justify this. CA form of HMB has a long history and many many studies have done to prove the efficacy of it for both athletes and elderly. AND HMB (CA) has many more positive and impressive customer reviews. After stopping HMB, I've kept losing my muscles even after increasing my exercise, so I will start it again. I am interested in trying the powder form, so I may not start this brand at this point, but may come back to it later. Since I had a good experience, I thought I should write my positive review. I take this daily as a maintenance. Our bodies make this naturally. There is no danger or side-effects that I’ve encountered. Couple this with creatine and they make a great base for overall health and stamina.

I have been using this product for two months. I have done research on HMB and started using this product for the studies that showed it prevented muscle loss. I am a physique competitor and was interested in using this product initially for the period of time when I'm "cutting" (leaning down before a contest by dropping body fat %) before a contest. The benefit of using this product at this phase is to drop body fat while NOT losing muscle mass which is VERY difficult if not impossible. I am not in competition phase right now but I am using the product to see what results transpire. I am now in what is called a bulking phase which means My caloric intake is high to gain size and mass. For all competitive men and women in bodybuilding or physique competitions, you know your abs virtually disappear during bulking phase. I am delighted to tell you that although I am in bulking phase right now, my abs have NOT disappeared and I am still gaining size and mass. Quite simply, the product works for me. I am quite pleased. Do your own research to see what HMB is reported to do and try THIS product. I went with this specific product from Double Wood Supplements because they do NOT add fillers and junk to this supplement. I HIGHLY recommend this product.
