Grillfloss BBQ Cleaning Tool
Excellent tool for cleaning Rod Type BBQ Grates. It does a great job of reaching the underside of the rods where things can stick and buildup. Typical grill brushes only clean the top of the grates leaving behind matter on the sides and bottom of the grate rods. The Grillfloss Cleaning Tool cleans these areas well. The only reason for not giving this product 5 Stars is I feel that the actual cleaning tip portion could have been made a little thicker so as to prevent any flexing. I also noticed some very minor surface rusting on the tip which indicates to me that this may not be made of stainless or is of a lesser quality stainless. These minor imperfections don't effect function and I would still highly recommend the product for anyone with steel rod type BBQ grates. UPDATE 03/11/2014: Having read some of the few less than stellar reviews I thought it might be helpful to caution any potential purchaser to be most aware that the GrillFloss tool is only designed to be used with the stainless steel ROD TYPE BBQ GRATES. Take a close look at the pictures and you will note that in each instance it is shown being used only on a perfectly round, rod type grate. If you don't have this type of grate, which frankly is not nearly as commonly found on most BBQ's as others, you won't find this BBQ cleaning tool helpful. If you do have the round rod type of grate system you will find the GrillFloss Cleaning Tool to be a tremendous help in keeping those grates from getting any buildup of cooking residue around the entire circumference of the rods. A simple action of push, twist, pull on each rod is all that it takes. It works extremely well and I know of no other tool that works as easily and completely as the GrillFloss does and I have tried just about all of them. I hope this clarification helps some to avoid disappointment that really isn't the fault of the product maker. Also, in my initial review of the GrillFloss I was critical of the tools cleaning tip as being of questionable, long term quality. The makers of GrillFloss must read these reviews because I recently became aware of the fact that they have vastly improved the cleaning tip with a better manufacturing process and materials that definitely answered my criticism. Also I was very excited to hear that they now manufacture their product in the USA rather than China which deserves recognition. I always prefer American made products over products made overseas. That's just me. As a result of these improvements I feel very comfortable to move my star rating from 4 to 5 stars for a truly useful, well made product.

Really cleans stainless steel grates very well.
I bought this product to clean the grates on my Weber kettle grill. Up to this point, I've used balled up tinfoil with limited success, and wanted something that didn't require me to wear heat resistant gloves. This cleaning tool is a little slow. You can only clean one bar at a time, but it wraps around the top and bottom of the bar. A couple of passes and you have scraped most of the junk off of the top and bottom of the bar, then move to the next one. You will need to wipe the gunk off of the end of the tool while you clean the entire grate, but it works quite well and has a fast learning curve. It comes with different sized heads for different grate rod diameters. I would buy this again.

This is best tool ever for cleaning the grill grates. Removed everything and has many ends to fit your grill grates. Wish I found this product 10 years ago. Be prepared for nails on chalkboard when using!!! You've been warned!

AWESOME
Works like it says, if you are not using it properly then that's your fault. In my video I show you how to use this grill grate scraper properly. If you bought this and didn't read about it first and it doesn't fit your style of grates then that's your fault as well. Don't give a bad review because you didn't read about it and what style of grates it's used for. That is on you. Simply return it and get your money back. The scraper part is thick stainless steel and is very strong. People saying it's flimsy are plain out lying, or putting 200lbs of pressure on it for no reason at all. This takes little to no force at all to use. Very simple and easy to use. You can get all sides of the grate 360° of scraping. Again people complaining about not being able to get the left side of the grill grate isn't using this properly. Watch my video and I explain and show you how to use it for all sides of the grill grates. This was totally worth the money and will last many years to come. I will never use metal wire brushes ever again. I feel so much safer when grilling knowing nobody in my family could be indigestion metal wires that break off the brush and get into the food. I don't understand why this isn't sold in stores all over the country. Anyway if you are on the fence on buying this thing then I hope my video helps you and educates you so you will make the right decision for you and your families safety from those crappy metal wire brushes. Again this is not for cast iron flat grill grate. This is for round grill grates and has different sizes it comes with so you can get the right fit for you grates.

I have owned a lot of wire grill brushes over the years and they all work about the same. Then I bought the grill floss. This actually works. The grates are perfectly clean after use not just sort of clean. People that complain that it takes too long, surprise me. I have a weber kettle and not all the rods need cleaning every time, but the ones that do get perfectly clean and then don't build up as much gunk as when they are only half cleaned. So at the end of the season, I probably spend a lot less time than I otherwise would. It does seem expensive for what it is but it is very sturdy and very well-made.

This handy little tool is perfection! It wraps around each "spindle" of the grill and scrapes away all the harder residue -- no brush can accomplish what this little tool does. It scrapes away all residue so cleanly that you can really extend the time between total grill "wash ups". How I use it: Raise the heat on high under all the grill for about 15 minutes. Then slide this tool along the individual tines and watch all your misery fall to the pan below. Because it hugs the tines so closely it provides a much better cleaning job than any other BBQ brush I've ever known -- and believe me, I've tried them all. Although it does only one tine at a time, it doesn't take any time at all to clean your whole grill because it works so efficiently. Once the grill is heated, in fact, it takes only one good, firm scrape back and forth on each tine, and PRESTO it's done! (So very different from having to use a brush, back and forth, 50 times!!) I will not likely need another brush ever again, as what this doesn't take off isn't ever coming off anyway. Of course, you'll still want to do an overall clean of your grill a few times during the season ... but in the end I wonder who really has the time to do that? This tool takes away all guessing and grease and answers the question, is my grill clean enough for my father -in -law to grill on with a resounding YES! 😂 ‼️

Works well, although I can't get it to fit between the grates to do the sides of the rods on a Komodo Kamado. Still an indispensable BBQ tool.

First, it's easily the best grill cleaner, even at CAD40 (Jeepers). It's such an odd design, and that is what makes it a game-changer. It really manages to efficiently clean any surface that its head contacts. Just remember that because the contact surface is small (just a few linear mm), you need to do an entire set of 'strokes' from below, and then again above. So you may think it's slow, doing these two passes per rod, but it's not, because you don't ever need to do the same spot twice. It just feels slow because you're being so deliberate.
