I live in an apartment building, can I use this to solve an issue where my washing machine drain stand pipe overflows?

I'm not sure what the difference between an apartment building and a house would be with regards to the washing machine drain. However, the main reason I purchased one of these from Home Depot years ago, was for that exact reason. It turned out that the rush of water from a washing machine drain is far more powerful than this unit can produce. What worked for me was 2 things. 1: I lengthened my standing drain so it was above my washing machine and 2: I put a rubber drain cap, like this one, https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-1-2-in-PVC-DWV-Flexible-Cap-PQC-101/100372302, on the top and cut out a small hole and stuffed the washing machine drain into it very tightly fit - cured all my problems!

How to connect the hose to the bathroom sink’s faucet? No institutions were given.

I bought mine in 2014. On the back of the package (model 340) there are instructions 1) Remove aerator and connect faucet adapter to faucet. Then connect hose to faucet adapter (If you did not receive the faucet adapter in your kit, you need to request they send you one). 2) Connect Drain King to hose. 3) Insert Drain King into cloggged drain. 4) Turn on water to clear drain. These are the instructions that are on the back of my package, which I still have. On the front of my package it says the package includes: Drain King 1-1/2 inch to 3 inch, Faucet Adapter, and 10 inch Hose.

In a Bathroom Sink, do you actually need to remove the curved waste arm/bend and insert it directly into the waste line pipe for it to be effective?

I WOULD BECAUSE YOU WOULD GET A STREGHT SHOT DOWN THE DRAIN LINE AND YOU CAN INSERT IT FURTHER IF NESSARY. YOY WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE TRAP.

Wouldn't the pressure blow the pee trap apart on a sink?

Dave, the pressure for the smaller units is high - but not enough to blow the pipes or connections. I assume that it is possible to have a completely stopped up sink whereby someone poured concrete down your drain. In that case, something would have to "give". But as long as your clog can be moved thru your pipes, this will do the trick. I use three of them in conjunction......kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and shower drain. So far, I haven't had any problems and all backups are moved thru leaving me with free-flowing drains. I hope this helps. I must note that I am not a plumber - nor do I have ANY plumbing experience whatsoever.

Our kitchen sink had been clogged for 2 weeks. We called a plumber but his $700.00 to $1100.00 estimate scared us off. We saw the Drain King on Amazon and decided to give it a try. We were hopeful but skeptical that it would work. We hooked our garden hose up to the Drain King and turned on the water. Within 30 minutes our sink was working again! We don't plan to ever call another plumber! This Drain King is amazing!! I give it 10/10 stars!! I recommend this to anyone with a plugged Drain. Thanks Ian and Joy

It worked great! I had a plugged laundry drain and I tried everything else (plunger, draino, shopvac drain suction attachment...) but all the methods I tried failed because the plug was beyond a branch in the drain and the presser or suction would be misdirected to the clear branch of the drain lines and into other areas of the house (toilet, sink bath tub/shower...) instead of directed towards the plug. I researched several products via youtube reviews and decided to buy this one. You feed it down the drain until you get as far as you can go. If you can get past any branches in the drain line so you have only a single drain pipe between the drain king and the clog then it is VERRY EFFECTIVE! Plumbers are expensive where I live ($110 per hour with a 1 hour minimum charge) so this was a small price to pay to save $110 on the first use. I hope I won't have to use it again soon but if I do, I am confident that I can clear the clogs in any drain in my house. I also bought a larger one as well so I can also clear my main sewer drain in case it ever gets plugged. This can work with any garden hose but I would recommend getting the set with the Drain King hose included because it is thin and more flexable than your typical garden hose so it is easier to get around bends in the drain. That being said you will not be able to feed it past a P-trap because the trap is too sharp of a corner. My P-trap has a drain at the bottom and that is where I entered the drain. It was a little tight getting in and around the last half of the P-trap but it worked.
