I was very pleased with this item. the wood is strong and thick enough to stand up for a small bird. I have a baby cockatiel and got it because it is adjustable in height. the baby has been eating off the bottom of the cage and in small dishes so it is good for the next step... as she grows I can raise the height so she can climb to it with the4 ladder that came with it.. The little perch that is attached gives them room to eat without stepping in their dish. My only real disappointment or suggestion for the makers of this item is to have dishes that arn't so deep. A small bird will never be able to reach that far down into the dish to get food or water. so it is kind of a waste of food having to fill it up so the bird can reach the food Other then that I think its a worth while purchase.

My daughter got a new parakeet. Was super shy and timid with the new environment. We tried different bowls for food and water. The bird hardly touched it. After this new set up, he/she freely climbs the ladder to eat and drink. I see him hanging out on it regularly. I'd say it's a hit! Would recommend.

I like the size and design. but it came with damage. it looks so dangerous for parakeet feet.

My love birds chipped at it until it fell apart!
