I have no experience with any type of radio so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this is to use and sync with my BF's. It sounds good, is easy to switch on and off with gloves on, though the volume is a bit tricky at first, with gloves. The sound is usually very good, though it does depend where his speaker is situated inside his own helpet.I lost my first radio by accident on a ride by touching the release clip with my glove while I was fiddling with the volume. It released and fell off somewhere on the road. After some thinking and researching, I found that mounting a small lens cover leash/harness (made for cameras - cost a few dollars at most!) to the radio and the helmet, will prevent the same from happening again. The loop that normally would fit around the camera lens actually loops nicely around the radio-mount on my helmet, and the adhesive knob glues onto the underside of the radio very well (so far!). When I need to charge the radio, I simply slip the loop off of the mount. the leash/harness stays on the radio at all times. Now I don't worry about losing another one on a ride because I'm clumsy!

I've had this unit for 2 years. Works great and good sound quailty.

i didn't like it cause it couldn't connect to other senas you could only connect via call and the audio wasn't to great during a call so i just used them for music

This is a great headset, used in my HJC RPHA pro helmet (the HJC doesn’t work with this model helmet) compared to the HJC 10b the seña is far superior even though seña makes both headsets. The speakers are good but I will upgrade them. I like listening to music while I ride.

I previously had a Sena 10s and it was awesome. I do residential tree work and we were able to sustain connection with 4 devices, even 6 sometimes. The most recent Sena 10s I bought has been a struggle. We get 3 people on the headset at most. I tried pairing with one of the crew members and it paired with a 3rd crew member who wasn't in pairing mode. Randomly turns off through out the day. Battery lasts days currently.

Works exactly as advertised. Wish the max volume was a little louder but they are still loud enough to hear doing 85 down the hwy on a Harley with an exhaust. Pairing is easy, fm radio works just fine I just wish there was a way to preset favorite stations just in case my phone dies and I still want to listen to music. Most importantly, the Bluetooth connects immediately after turning on. Used it as a coms device for awhile but would rather just listen to music and not hear the homies breathing and yelling at traffic haha. Don’t know why or how others have issues with it staying attached; it’s never been a concern for me when changing volume, just use an open palm and scroll with your fingers. Waterproofing definitely does its job. Just moved it from my old helmet to my new modular shoei helmet using the Velcro mic instead of the boom and it sounds just fine at slower speeds while on the phone with the helmet face wide open. There may be cheaper options on the market rn but sena is tried and true. I went with a big brand for customer support, but actually never needed anything from them. I’ve put mine through countless hours of max volume and it still sounds the same as day one. Love the simplicity of this design and it’s easy to use functions.

I was a bit disappointed that this doesn't mount in a Bell Mag9 helmet without ordering the special BellMag9 adapter that is sold out everywhere I looked.I have one on order now.I made a couple phone calls at speed I'm told the sound was crystal clear and they didn't believe I was on my bike. It was a bit hard to hear the call with wind noise even though I have a fairing. This can probably be fixed by adjusting ear pieces with the included foam offsets. They really should make a better installation video. The chick doing it is cool and everything but I'm more interested in getting the clamp mounts in the correct place the first time.
