However, I also ordered three copies for my library and and a finished copy for myself. And that should tell you how this review is going to go. I love this book even more than I loved Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library. I know my students will love it too. I've begun reading the book to the third graders when they come for library lessons. They can't decide if they want me to slow down so they can savor the story or if they want to speed up because the story is so engaging. Any reader who loves Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will love this book. This is one of those books that just makes you feel good. There are plenty of puzzles to solve and plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. And of course I love all the book and Dewey Decimal references. Even kids who think the library is boring (gasp! yes there are a few of those out there) will love this book! It is a must for any elementary library or classroom collection. It's good for adults, too. Review: Mr. Lemoncello rocks! - What an awesome book! I'll read anything by Chris Grabenstein, whether it's one of his excellent mysteries for adults or one of his wonderful books for middle-graders like his hilarious Mr. Lemoncello library mysteries. This book has a large cast of lively and varied characters and features games, many references to real books (including quite a few banned books), and a puzzling mystery plot (with some twists I definitely didn't foresee). It champions "freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of fun," as Mr. Lemoncello puts it. This is a book that can be enjoyed by kids and grownups alike, as its humor appeals to all ages. It's the second book in a series, but it stands very well on its own.

Fun read for tweens
Got this for my tween because he liked the first book. We were not as excited about this one, but it's a decent read for 3-6 grader. Content a little bit young for my middle schoolers.

Love this book
Love this book! I love the first one in the series even more! Both books are a wonderful celebration of reading and libraries! A great read for kids (and parents too). I have been recommending this book to everyone I know. My 8 year old daughter loved it! I enjoyed reading it with her. Great characters and lots of fun!

Good book
Bought for 8 year old granddaughters. They loved it. Their mom is really careful about what they read and I know if she approved it, it is good.

Great book to transition from graphic novels
My daughter read the first book in about 2 weeks, and to congratulate her for finishing her first novel with no pictures we got her this sequel which she breezed through. She really enjoyed the story line and did nothing but tell us what was happening throughout the whole book. This series is a great series to transition from graphic novels, it held her attention from the get go.

My 11 yo son loves this series. He’s read the other one and loved it as well. Full of adventures, suspense & some humor. There are always bonus clues and activity at the end. He finished in a week (1hr daily reading) Highly recommended. Now I have to buy the other ones.

My daughter was gifted the first book of the series by friends and that had her hooked. Got her this one for her birthday and she spent couple of hours reading and finishing it without a break! I loved the concept in the book series of throwing in challenges for the little minds to solve. The request for the third book is already on!!!
