In the face of so many hurting the Indian people over the years, here is a young man and his wife who commited themselves to bringing hope to these tribes. He would travel many miles by dog sled or canoe to explain the hope of the Gospel to the various villages in the north of Manitoba. He did this in all kinds of weather. Many of the Indians came to a life changing faith in Christ because he went. They could see that Egerton Young really loved them for themselves. This story should be read with the Life of David Brainerd. This young man went to the Delaware Indians. He seen the same results when he explained the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What's the bottom line? That Jesus Christ came to save sinners from all tribes and nations. Both books are well worth reading.

Egerton walked it -talked it - by writing it he described life 200 years ago - as he carried the Gospel along the trail - to an eager listener - a great read.

very good book..... it tells what life was like before Cananda became populated with white people. Christian message is very strong in this book.

I was so encouraged to note how our Lord has moved among North American Indians in the past. First, in the 1700's thru David Brainard, in New Jersey area, then this book about central Canada in the 1800's and then thru John Spillenaar in the north of Ontario and Quebec in the 1900's. We serve a Faithful Lord- He deserves our praise.
