I got this for my husband. He has a an extended cab toyota tocoma. It lends a perfect amount of base in that amount of space. It sounds really great. He is very happy.

Very compact. Great sound for the size. Installs easily.

I installed under the driver seat in a 2018 Honda Fit Sport. The Boss 8 gauge power and ground wires were pretty brittle which pissed me off. When stripping the housing, I lost a few strands which is just poor quality brittle copper. I also don't like that the bass adjust knob doesn't say "Boss" on it. It's just a generic min/max knob. I wasn't happy with the sound until I adjusted the settings to get whatever I could out of it. I maxed out the gain and bass on the amp and set the LPF to 50Hz. I then set the dash knob to max. On my Alpine W770 headunit I set the sub to the max at 15 and the LPF to 50Hz and the HPF to 50Hz for the front and rears. Only THEN did it shine. With everything maxed and LPF set to 50Hz. I keep the volume at about 20 and it sounds like a concert. I have Alpine type-R 6.5" components in the front and type-R coaxials in the rear doors. It sounds nice and full now. There is no where else to go with this sub as I have it completely maxed out. But it sounds good now. I was a little apprehensive to max it, but it has a mosfet so it sounds be fine. But maxed is the only way it sounds good and full. Makes the music much more enjoyable filling in that bottom end.

Good option to add to a budget or stock car audio setup. Won't impress anyone but it fills in that missing thump and low end. Do note that this doesn't come with any of the required wiring, so make sure to pick up a wiring kit (I got some cheapo kit here on amazon for like $12, just make sure its at least 10 gauge) and I wired directly into the rear speaker wire. Out of the box it's set to a base non-tuned setting so won't sound good at all - you NEED to tune and adjust the settings on both the sub and your head unit. Read the manual, it explains how to set the gain. I think I ended up somewhere with the gain set to 3/4, bass boost almost near max, and the high pass filter a half or turn up from middle (this is important if you're regular speakers don't produce a lot of bass). I also turned down my head units "bass boost" setting from +3 to +1 as the regular speakers don't need to try and fill in bass anymore and let them shine more in their minds and highs.
