Amar Chitra Katha: The Complete Mythology Collection (Set of 73 Titles)

The box set was bought as a Diwali present for our great niece and nephew. It will give them hours of reading and hopefully light a spark of interest in our Indian heritage. The Amar Chitra Katha comics have a nice glossy cover. I have the original ones that were published in the 1970's and they had very thin covers. So, these new ones are really nice. The carrying box is good. I had to add extra tape on the bottom to support it better as the bottom was slightly torn even though the package was shipped inside a really sturdy shipping box. The seller should think about adding extra padding inside to support during shipping from India.

Beautiful three fold Packing. Highly recommended books for kids. Colorful illustrations. And great quality. Great collection of 73 books. The Titles may not be the same for every Shipment. But each and every book is worth a Treasure even for Seniors. I love the smell of new books. Worth the money. Keep it up.

We wanted this for our 4-year daughter who wants to listen to more stories. Now we see the whole family can enjoy these books along with kids. This is a great collection and this was delivered promptly

The book quality seems great, and we're really looking forward to reliving some old stories and learning some new ones. It's just a shame that they all have such a strong chemically glue smell. Just flipping through the stack on the first day made my head hurt, it's so bad. Hopefully it'll fade over time. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, the listing of books needs updating. I had the same list as that person. That is, although they are NOT in the official listing, you DO also get Agastya, Bhanumati, Buddha, Dasha Avatar (nice!), Ganesha, Indra and Vrita, Konark, Thanjavur, Tirupati, Vali, and Valimiki's Ramayana (very nice!) And although they ARE on the list, you do NOT actually get Andhaka, Dasharatha, Kacha & Devyani, Krishna and Rukmini, Nachiketa, Tales of Vishnu, Tales of Yudhishthira, The Syamantaka Gem, or Yayati. To be clear, I'm happy with the ones I got, but just so people know what's actually in the box nowadays.

We only received 72 books when we received the order. As per the product description, there should have been a minimum of 75 bold in the box.

Damaged box and missing books.

It is a collector’s item. Very good to introduce and educate young kids about Sanatan Dharma in a friendly and accessible way.

I forgot how awesome these were. It came in a compact package as shown. Full of beautiful artwork and the stories are often too wrenching and illuminating even for adults. The writing also reminded me from where I developed my vocabulary. They are very sturdy comic books themselves, the pages won't fall out.
