Fitted mine to a mossberg 500 field, Due to the forend overlapping the receiver when racked back you will need to modify it so it doesn’t foul the saddle, or replace your forend with one that finishes flush with the receiver, I’m changing mine so had no problem purchasing this side saddle Review: Great product also fits mossberg 88 - Read somewhere that this would fit a mossberg 88 and took a chance, turns out it does bolt on properly. The product itself is well made, solid and looks sharp, holds shells pretty snugly. I would certainly recommend it. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001AMZXQI | | Brand | Lyman | | Brand Name | Lyman | | Colour | black | | Country of Publication | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,814 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00751103011591 | | Item Dimensions | 15.2 x 3.8 x 3.8 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.2 Pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 15.2 x 3.8 x 3.8 Centimeters | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1081159 | | Material | Nylon | | Material Type | Nylon | | Model Number | 1081159 | | UPC | 751103011591 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Lyman - **Colour:** black - **Item Weight:** 91 g - **Number Of Pockets:** 6 - **Pocket Description:** Slip Pocket ## Images ![TacStar 6 Shot Sidesaddle Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819su-o6RpL.jpg) ![TacStar 6 Shot Sidesaddle Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41GGRp1UbeL.jpg) ![TacStar 6 Shot Sidesaddle Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51A4XW2MBlL.jpg) ![TacStar 6 Shot Sidesaddle Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/511gl+fmeNL.jpg) ![TacStar 6 Shot Sidesaddle Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31tEZE-N5nL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this fit on a moss 590a1 using a top fold knoxx stock?** A: since it states it fits on the 590 series, it will fit them all. They all use the same location of receiver pins.Wood fore grips will need to be trimmed, but synthetic fore grips are good to go. I used it on my Moss 500a1. **Q: will this fit a maverick 88 ?** A: I haven't tried it although I do own an 88. However I do believe that it will fit since most all of the parts will interchange with the model 500. **Q: Will this fit on a shockwave?** A: A shockwave appears to be a normal 590 with a shorter barrel and stock. The sidesaddle should fit fine. **Q: Does This fit the Maverick 88?** A: YES it will fit the Mossberg 88. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality, simple and works *by S***U on 15 February 2021* It’s a good product, as all tacstar products are, holds the cartridges very well, Definitely better than the cheaper ones on eBay, But why would you want to put something cheap on your expensive gun? Fitted mine to a mossberg 500 field, Due to the forend overlapping the receiver when racked back you will need to modify it so it doesn’t foul the saddle, or replace your forend with one that finishes flush with the receiver, I’m changing mine so had no problem purchasing this side saddle ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product also fits mossberg 88 *by S***Y on 3 January 2015* Read somewhere that this would fit a mossberg 88 and took a chance, turns out it does bolt on properly. The product itself is well made, solid and looks sharp, holds shells pretty snugly. I would certainly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install. Works great. *by T***S on 8 March 2012* I just installed this last night and had a much easier time doing it than I anticipated. It fits my Mossberg 500 pump as if it were factory-built. I am aware that some style forearms, namely those that overlap with the receiver during cycling of the weapon, will be interfered with by this bolt-on, and the 5-shot sidesaddle may be a better option in that case. This was not an issue on mine at all. The base plate that mounts to the shotgun itself is designed to mount to several different brands/models of shotgun with the included hardware. It's not a jerry-rigged setup, either, but a solid mount, at least on my Mossberg. It is made of aluminum and is pretty nicely built. The shotshell holding piece is actually some sort of plastic. It feels reasonably rugged, and should last a long time, but I did notice it was a bit curved when separated from the baseplate (as is required during installation). It flattened right out when the screws were put back in, but it seemed a little strange. I do not consider this a defect. This particular model (#1081159) will fit the Mossberg 500/590/590DA. Obviously there are other models for other guns. Make sure you're ordering the right model for your shotgun. #1081161 - Win 1200/1300 #1081157 - Remington 870/1100/11-87 #1081164 - Benelli M4 #1081163 - Benelli M1/M2, Stoeger 2000 #1081158 - Mossberg 930/935 #1081166 - Remington 4-shot Exp.
